Well done me for so far consistently posting a Top 5 Wendesday even though this is literally only the second week. I’m just gonna take the wins when I can though.

I’m not sure if this is meant to be books to help my younger self or just books I think my younger self would just generally enjoy but I’m going to roll with it.

The weekly topics are posted HERE on Goodreads.

Six of Crows by Leigh Bardugo

This is more for past me from a year then me when I was a little kid because I have owned this book for so long but I got so intimidated by the hype that I ignored it until recently when people on Tumblr just kept yelling at me to read it.

Tash Hearts Tolstoy by by K. E. Ormsbee

I really enjoyed this book and I wish there had been more books with Asexual characters a year ago when I was trying to figure things out. I am however really enjoying reading through Asexual/Aromantic character books at the minute.

The Princess Diaries by Meg Cabot

images234Q50FU.jpgI’ve never read this series but I loved the movies. I think if I were to read them now they’d be far too juvenile and I wouldn’t enjoy them. Too bad child me wasnt that interested in reading back then unless it was Twilight.

The Hate U Give by Angie Thomasf043712f-4655-4c8a-b60f-fca1e4c6ca9f

I’m including this because I still haven’t read it and younger me and current me shouldn’t be scared of the hype and the love around this book. Hopefully I’ll get to it before the movie comes out.

Vampire Academy by Rachelle Mead

Partly to introduce myself to a better vampire alternative to Twilight. Partly because maybe if I’d started this soon I wouldn’t have gotten fed up of vampires and maybe I might have actually finished the series. As is stands right now I haven’t gotten past the fourth book.

Thanks for reading 💜

  1. I can’t wait to read Six of Crows!! I’m planning on picking it up within the next few weeks 🙂
Tash Hearts Tolstoy is also on my TBR, and I’m looking forward to that one too. I’m glad to hear you enjoyed it. Do you have any other recommendations for books with ace rep? Definitely wanting to read more!!

    1. Crooked Kingdom arrived at my house yesterday and I legit ran home from work to sign for it, its such a good series. As for books with ace rep theres Lets Talk About Love which is good if you like romance. It was a bit too fluffy for my tastes but I thought the ace rep was pretty good and there was some great lines. As for any more I’m still discovering them, there’s really not much out there. Cheating a bit but Gentlemans Guide to Vice and Virtue has a suspected ace character and she’d brilliant if you haven’t checked that out.

      1. Yaaay, I hope Crooked Kingdom is just as good as SoC!!
Thanks so much for your the ace rep suggestions! I’ve heard of Let’s Talk About Love so I’ll have to add that to my TBR 🙂 Oh, and I LOVE Gentleman’s Guide (I’ve read it twice!!) and I actually already read Lady’s Guide- I got an ARC! Both SO good.
I hope you end up discovering more books with ace rep, and that it will continue to be represented more and more in the future!
