I really struggled with this weeks topic because technically this week it’s Classics I Wish Had Modern Adaptions except … I haven’t read any classics.
If I’d have stayed living in England I’d probably have read some classics for my GCSE’s but that didn’t happen so for now all I have read is a 50 page version of The Picture of Dorian Grey.
But there are some adaptions of classics I haven’t read I want to watch.
Weekly topics are posted HERE.
Sleepy Hollow
I’ve tried watching this series a fair few times and yet I still haven’t finished the first series. What I’ve watched so far it looks interesting and it’s pretty funny.
Alice In Wonderland
I watched the live action movie when it first came out at my 8th(?) birthday sleep over and got annoyed when the other girls wouldn’t shut up but I don’t remember ever watching the animated version so that’s another to add to my movie watch list.
The Scarlett Letter
Easy A just looks like a really great movie.
The Monster Calls
Yeah ok I’m cheating, this isn’t a classic but who says classics have to be books written by long dead people??? This is definitely a modern classic which I loved and need to watch the movie.
The Taming of The Shrew
I’ve literally never heard of this but apparently it’s by Shakespeare. I really want to watch 10 Things I Hate About You and I have for a while but have I watched it? Pft course not cause I’m an idiot who doesn’t follow through on things I want to do.
Thanks for reading. Let me know if there’s any other adaptions of classics I probably haven’t read I should watch 🙂
I love 10 Things I Hate About You, it’s one of my comfort movie! I didn’t know it was a modern take of a classic though, I’ll be sure to add the book to my TBR!
