So 2018 is really nearly almost over and … I’ve already finished my Goodreads Reading Goal!!! I set myself the challenge of reading 40 books and as it stands now I’ve read 79!

I can’t believe it! I’m so happy and proud. But there are still a couple of books I want to read before the end of the year.

All topics can be found here.

1- History Is All You Left Me by Adam Silvera

I cannot go another year without ever reading an Adam Silvera. For two years now I’ve been saying I’m going to try one of his book and yet it’s still never happened! I will read this in the next two months or so help me.

2- The Diviners by Libba Bray

Ideally I want to read this but this is a big book and I have school stuff going on right now so its unlikely.

3- The Hate U Give by Angie Thomas

… Yep. Still not read it. It’s there on my shelf guilting me every time I lay my eyes on it. This month theme for a Goodreads Group I’m in is Badass Broads/ Strong Female Characters and from what I’ve heard Star fits this category so who knows.

4- Fangirl by Rainbow Rowell

This is here for the sole reason of me wanting to read Carry On in 2019 and I refuse to even buy the book without reading this first.

5- Queen of Air and Darkness by Cassandra Clare

Yeah I’m not gonna get to this in 2018 but I can dream … or dread.

I am literally so scared. My lil heart can’t take the pain. This comes out in December and I doubt I’ll have time to get to it or buy it. I would also like to read the collection of Ghosts From the Shadow Market (is that what it’s called, IDK?) before going into this. Also I’m probably going to need another six months of mental prep time.

Basically what we’ve discovered here is that theres a bunch of popular books I keep saying I’m going to read but still haven’t and that I should be ashamed of myself for constantly lying to myself.

    1. I actually started the ghost of the shadowmarket (whatever the hell the name is) today and the first one featured Raphael Santiago who is a whole mood and I highly recommend.

      1. Well not baby Alec. Preteen Alec from the first but he was still a tiny adorable awkward bean. I’m gonna try and read through the rest this weekend before my week of exams. 🙂
