So November happened. I literally barely remember any of it. All I remember is the vague feeling of all consuming stress and panic.
I didn’t get to read much in November. I read about 3 books this month and 2 novellas so it wasnt terrible but still disappointing none the less.
I had a whole bunch of exams this month. I actually went through and counted and it turns out I had 8. And then I have between 6-9 more in the next two weeks. Kill. Me. Now.
The first book I completed was Good Night Stories for Rebel Girls: 100 Tales of Extraordinary Women. I was already about 20 pages into this before picking it up again and then I sat and binged the whole thing and loved it so much! So many inspirational stories.
I then read Basic Witches: How to Summon Success, Banish Drama, and Raise Hell with Your Coven by Jaya Saxena & Jess Zimmerman. All I saw when I bought this was Basic Withces: How to Summon… and I thought it was an actual which story. Turns out its a self help book with a witch theme. It was actually pretty interesting and had cute graphic throughout.
I then read Assassins Blade by Sarah J. Maas. I read this while everyone was reading Kingdom of Ash and wow am I far behind. I really enjoyed this, I wrote a huge review for this expressing my love. I cant wait to get my heartbroken by the rest of this series.
By this point the month was going pretty well in terms of reading and having actual time to read (what’s that like?) and so I picked up the first two novellas in the Ghosts of the Shadow Market collection: Son of Dawn and Cast Long Shadows. I really enjoyed these and cant wait to read the rest and buy the bind up which comes out next year. I want to read them all before reading Queen of Air and Darkness.
And then the final book I read this month was Boost by D.A. Paul. and it wasnt a great way to end the month. I barely even remember much but it was weird and not that interesting.
And then I picked up People Like Us by Dana Mele thinking I’d find some time to read between studying but no. I got 50 pages in and just gave up. I really do want to pick it up again because of what I read I enjoyed but when I do get time to read I want to start with a clean slate.
So November was kind of crappy and I imagine the first few weeks of December will be too but I’m hopefull next months wrap up will be better.
