Hello 🙂

Happy Wednesday! This is up a bit late because school started back up yesterday, I already feel sleep deprived but I’ve filled up on Chinese and ready to go.

Anyways all topics can be found HERE.

I have done really well so far in the duration of this blog to keep up and participate every week and I’m gonna try and carry that on into the new year.

Let us begin with the 2019 releases I don’t care about.

1-The Priory of the Orange Tree by Samantha Shannon

This book really just doesn’t interest me. I don’t have a clue what it’s about, I believe it’s a fantasy novel and it’s humungous! I’ve seen this in a lot of videos on Booktube from people who are excited for it or received an ARC from that book convention I’m always jealous people get to go to. Beautiful cover though.

2- Enchantée by Gita Trelease

Magic in Paris 1789 that sounds pretty cool but I don’t have that feeling of Oh My God I NEED THIS! I imagine it’s going to get quite a bit of buzz in the book community so I might see how other people take to it.

3- Children of Virtue and Vengeance by Tomi Adeyemi

I think I’m a bit intimidated by this series. The first book has a lot of hype around it but I’ve never really been to drawn to it.

4- The Wicked King by Holly Black

Yeah I’m just really not into this series. Again, there’s so much hype around the first book. I’ve seen mixed opinions on the first book, some loved it, some didn’t. I’m not into faerie stories all that much, especially not the super hyped high fantasy ones. I mean I still haven’t read ACOTAR. I’m preparing myself for it’s release when I’m sure everyone will be talking about it.

5- King of Scars by Leigh Bardugo

It’s not that I don’t care about this book … it’s just that I don’t care about it yet.

I’ve only read Six of Crows in the Grisha universe, Crooked Kingdoms is on my shelf ready to be read but  this book follows a character from the original trilogy so of course I’m not excited for a book centred around a character I’ve never even read about yet. But I’m sure I’ll want to read this as soon as I delve deeper into this universe.

So those are the new and pretty hyped releases I’m not really bothered about. Maybe there’s a chance a few will catch my eye once they’re released and I see other peoples thought’s but for now I’m happy to save my money on not buying these.

  1. I was excited for Enchantée at first, but I’m not really feeling it anymore so I totally agree with what you said! And ooh I can’t wait for King of Scars! You’re absolutely right- once you keep reading and you meet Nikolai, you’ll probably be more excited for that book💛 happy reading!
