Hello and happy not winter!
Last autumn I took part in the Fall Bookish Bingo and had so much fun that I decided to do it again. These seasonal bingos are hosted by Pretty Deadly Reviews if you want to participate.
I did really well over the past three months and I only failed on Three challenges!
1- FRIENDS FAV
Prisoner of Azkaban by J.K Rowling, illustrated by Jim Kay. My friend is obsessed my this whole serious, hence why we’re besties.
2- 2018 RELEASE I MISSED
People Like Us by Dana Mele, does it still count if I read this right at the end of 2018? I’m just gonna say yeah.
3- PINK COVER
Marriage of Unconvenience by Chelsea M. Cameron has a very pink cover and it was super sweet.
4- FAVE AUTHOR
9 From The 9 worlds by Rick Riordan, Gods how I wish this was longer.
5- ROMANCE
Starry Eyes by Jenn Bennet, this took my totally by surprise but it was adorable and Zorie and Lennon are really cute.
6- DEC/JAN/FEB RELEASE
Queen of Air and Darkness by Cassandra Clare, of course this came out in Decemeber, I had to wait till January to read it but wowch was it a good finale.
7-MALE MAIN CHARACTER
Fence Vol 1, this square isn’t coloured in because I forgot I read this but this follows fencing, obviously and the main character is of the male species so …. it fits.
8- SET IN EUROPE
Shade by Mere Joyce-, this is about a summer camp for kids who see ghosts. I was lucky enough to get it as an ARC and loved it! It fits this challenge as the camp is set in France.
9- LGBT+
The Kings Men by Nora Sakovic, the final book in the All For The Game trilogy which I reread recently. This book is super gay and I couldn’t not use it for this challenge.
10- CO-AUTHORED.
Watch Us Rise by Renee Watson & Ellen Hagan was also an ARC is was lucky enough to receive and holy shit was this book good.
11- FANTASY
Six of Crows by Leigh Bardugo, I had to reread this so I can finally continue on and read Crooked Kingdom as soon as I’m back from my trip to England.
12- ANIMAL ON THE COVER
Summer Bird Blue by Akemi Dawn Bowman, which of course features various birds on the cover.
13- WHITE COVER
The Bronze Key by Holly Black & Cassandra Clare, the UK editions, which I own, all have white covers which I hate, I much prefer the UK editions but at least it fits for this.
14- DISABLED MAIN CHARACTER
The Copper Gauntlet by Holly Black & Cassandra Clare, the main character Cal walks with a pretty severe limp after an injury as a child which isn’t ever brushed away or forgotten about.
15- BOOK WAS A GIFT
Talon by Julie Kagawa, I’m 99% sure this was a gift because I do not remember buying it whatsoever, I’m pretty sure I got it a while ago for my birthday.
16- SPIN OFF
Lord of Shadows by Cassandra Clare, as everybody know the whole Dark Artifices series is a spin off of the Mortal Instruments series.
17- SECOND CHANCE
The Ghost Files Vol 5 by Apryl Baker, I binged this whole series a while ago but by book five I was warn out and didn’t finish it so I randomly picked it up and completed it at last.
18- RELIGIOUS MINIORITY MC
To Look a Nazi in the Eye, this again, is an ARC I was lucky enough to get and this follows a Jewish girl who goes to Germany to witness one of the last trials of a Nazi. Although not something I usually tend to pick up it was very interesting.
19- START A SERIES
Lady Midnight by Cassandra Clare, again, I’m probably cheating cause this was a reread.
20- AUTHOR OF COLOUR
The Hate U Give by Angie Thomas, it’s embarrassing how long it took me to get to this but it was amazing and I loved it, the movie too.
21- 2019 DEBUT
You’d Be Mine by Erin Hahn, this actually doesn’t come out till April but I had such a good time reading this story out two young singers touring America and falling in love.
Winter was great and I had a great time reading as much as I did but I’m totally ready for some more sunshine and warmth!!!
