Hello and Happy Wednesday!
Spring. AKA the time of me stressing about the upcoming end of school, eating my weight in chocolate cause “hey it’s easter!” and sneezing 24/7 thanks to allergies. Ahh good times.
In all seriousness I am looking forward to this upcoming season. Mainly I’m excited for the weather to change and for the wind to die down. And also the upcoming books I get to read!
1- Red White and Royal Blue by Casey McQuiston
A book about the presidents son falling in love with a british prince! I am so excited about this book, it was among my Intriguing 2019 Releases where I talked about books I didn’t know much about but was really looking forward for. I’m even more excited about this because I GOT AN ARC! I was so happy when I was accepted and I plan on reading this very soon.
2- Again, but Better by Christine Riccio
I screamed when I saw I was accepted for an Arc thanks to Netgalley for this book aswell. I’ve seen some mixed reviews for it so I’m anxious to see how I feel about it but I am very much looking forward to reading it.
3- Heartstopper Vol 1 by Alice Oseman
What a good way to start off the good weather then with the worlds cutest graphic novel. I tried keeping up with the online version but life got in the way and I lost track. I’m really excited to read through this and read the other 3 volumes that have been marked for release. I’m also thinking this could be a good stress relief during exam season.
4- The Nowhere Girls by Amy Reed
I’m not sure if I’ll get to this one but I’m hoping I will. This was up for free on Riveted recently and I opened it in a tab and as long as I’m still able to I’d love to get to it. I don’t know what it’s about 100% but I believe it has something to do with three girls looking for vengeance/justice/I really don’t know after a rape.
5- A Girl Called Shameless by Laura Steven
I’m trying, very hard to not talk about this series too much but it’s proving difficult and I’m sure once I’ve read this sequel it’ll be even harder. I read book 1, The Exact Opposite of Okay, last year. Loved it. It’s annoyingly underrated. I feel like I hardly see anyone talking about it but I’m hoping that with this sequel and the fact book 1 is finally being released in the US more people will read it and I can actually talk to people about it.
So my Spring TBR has a lot more new releases on it then I was expecting but I’m super excited for all of them.
