Books I love but sadly don’t own.

Hello and happy Friday!

As a reader, my favourite website ever is by far Riveted.com. Basically every month they release samples and also full books for free and its amazing and I’ve been able to read so many great books because of it!

Starry Eyes by Jenn Bennet- This book was extremely adorable and actually my most recent free read. I have a book by Jenn Bennet on my shelf and it’s been there for years but I never picked it up. I feel like if I enjoy that I’m definitely going to have to invest in this and other books by the same author.

Tash Hearts Tolstoy by Kathryn Ornsbee- My first read about an asexual character! Honestly this book means so much to me and I’d love to have a physical copy of this especially since there’s so few books with ace characters.

We Are The Ants by Shaun David Hutcherson- This book was a bit odd but I loved it! It handles some pretty sensitive subjects but is still super entertaining and I’d love to reread it at some point.

Aristotle and Dante Discover the Secretes of the Universe by Benjamine Alire Saenz- God this title is so long! This was actually the first book I read using this website and it was so good! I flew through it in two days and was a total zombie at school because of it. With the sequel being written I’d really love to own both books.

black-and-white-flowers-tumblr-transparent-12Will I ever buy these books? I don’t know. When it comes to choosing what books to buy I tend to go for books I haven’t read that I’m super excited about but I’m hoping I get to add these to my collection soon.

  1. I totally understand wanting to buy new books rather than ones you’ve already loved. What I do is keep them in mind and look for them on sale or used. Or you can always add them to a box to get free shipping.

    1. That’s a really great idea. I think I’m going to gradually ask for books i’ve already read for birthday/xmas and then I don’t have to keep people waiting a million years for my thoughts on a book they bought me like normal.

      1. that’s awesome it helped you out on a personal level! I was just really psyched because in the tiny bit of ace representation that exists, I feel like aro aces are more common? because it’s easier to write, as opposed to aces in relationships? so for me personally, Tash’s story was so powerful because it’s like ‘you can be ace AND have a romantic life’. ❤

I'm dyingggg with need for Beyond the Black Door, it sounds like everything I've ever wanted, I can't believe we have to wait MONTHS.
