The Perfect Book Tag

 

Hello and happy Friday!

Today I’m doing The Perfect Book Tag which was created by Sofii at A Book. A Thought and I was tagged by Lauren at Narrative Reads. So thank you so much!

The Perfect Genre

What genre would your perfect book be?

 |🌈| Pick A Book That Represents Perfectly Its Genre |🌈|

For this I’m going with Red, White & Royal Blue by Casey McQuiston. Romance isn’t my thing because I cringe at any sort of romantic moment but this book was a perfect romance/contemporary.

It was full of level headed characters, great representation, the two love interests had other things going on besides just the romance and the romance itself was so healthy and adorable!!!

The Perfect Setting

Because every story needs the perfect setting.

|🌈| Pick A Book That Takes Place In A Perfect Place|🌈| 

This was tricky because I was going to go cliché and choose Hogwarts because obviously! but I’m using Harry Potter further on in this tag so I decided to go with Valhalla, the mythical Viking after life from the Magnus Chase trilogy because:

Nobody can die in Valhalla! You die, you just come back to life and if that’s not the perfect place to keep all my favourite characters who I worry about constantly then I don’t know what is.

The Perfect Main Character

Because every book needs that brave and amazing MC

Percy Jackson. He’s just an all around wholesome and amazing character who wormed his way into many hearts with his sarcasm.

The Perfect Best Friend

Because we always love that character who supports our MC, no matter what.

|🌈|Loyal and Supportive, Pick A Character That You Think Is The Best Friend Ever|🌈|

I’m cheating and I’m SORRY but … I just can’t choose. In my head, them as a joint group, are the collective best friend ever and I’d rather die then choose who’s the best. Sorry not sorry.

The Perfect Love Interest

Although not all stories need it, we all love a bit of romance

Liam Stewart from The Darkest Minds series. I’ve genuinely never had a book crush until Liam. Its his “darlin'” that get’s me every time and I have no idea why!

The Perfect Villain

Because even when sometime we hate them, we always need them

|🌈|Pick A Character With The Most Sinister Mind|🌈|

I’ve thought about this one a LOT! And I feel like I should go with a villain from a fantasy series but my mind keeps coming back to characters from All For The Game.

So to choose from I have: Riko Moriyama, Exy obsessed abandoned son of the Yakuza who basically created his own cult and treated Kevin and Jean like animals. Or, Nathan Wesninski, aka The Butcher of Balitmore who branded his child with an iron and also kidnapped and intended to torture and murder said child.

Maybe it’s actually Nora Sakavic with the most sinister mind?

The Perfect Family

Our book wouldn’t be the same without that unconditional support from the MC’s family

The Weasleys are by far the perfect bookish family. They have so much heart and love to them even with their faults.

Perfect Animal or Pet

Because we all need a good loyal companion

It’s a totally lame answer but I need more puppies in books because all my children (pictured above ft. my cat cause I feel bad about not including him) are now fully grown and I need to live vicariously through fictional content for puppies!!

The Perfect Plot Twist

“OMG, how I didn’t see that coming!”

I think Iron Trial, has a pretty good twist to it. I’m clearly not about spill the beans on what that twist is but I really enjoyed how it set this series apart from others like it.

Perfect Trope

|🌈|Pick That Trope You Would Add To Your Own Book Without Thinking|🌈|

Enemies to Lovers!!! or Enemies to weird family member who we’d die for!!! I love this trope more then I love breathing or pizza.

Perfect Cover

Because we all love a good, beautiful and artistic cover

|🌈|Pick That Cover That You Would Easily Put In Your Own Book |🌈|

I love this cover with my whole heart. The illustrations and the colour!! If I ever publish a book as I one day want to I’d love something half as beautiful as this.

Perfect Ending

Because every great adventure has an ending

No spoilers but this ending was great and if I remember correctly it had me crying, alone in my bedroom at 2am.
