Hello and happy Wednesday!
Todays topic is Rainy Day reads and it’s annoying how perfect this topic fits with the weather here in Spain cause it’s been raining all weekend.
There are three good things about rainy days: The after smell, P.E getting cancelled, and having an excuse to stay in all day and read.
All weekly topics can be found HERE.
1- City of Bones by Victoria Schwab
I feel like this book would be perfect to read on a super stormy day. This follows a girl called Cassidy who can see ghosts and takes place in Scotland where her parents, who are ghost hunters, are filming their new show.
I feel like the rain would act so much to the overall atmosphere of the story and bring the setting of Scotland to life. Also it’s pretty short so easy to read in one day.
2- Ruby Red by Kerstin Grier
This is another I managed to read in one sitting and another that takes place in the UK area. It’s a pretty cheesy time-travel story but I feel like if you know it’s going to be on the mozzarella side of things you’ll enjoy spending your time reading it.
3- Red White and Royal Blue by Casey McQuiston
I just really love this book. Its so sweet and adorable and everyone needs a bit happiness when the weathers all depressing.
4- Shade by Mere Joyce
This book is set in a summer camp for kids who cans ee ghosts so basically what I’m getting at is that when it rains I’d like to read all the books featuring ghosts in some form.
5- The Foxhole Court by Nora Sakovic
Again, I just really love this series and since this is short enough for me to read in one day if I really tried, I would totally use the excuse of a rain day to re-read this book.
Alas my rain day bookish fun has been ruined by the existence of school but it was fun to pretend while reading this. Thanks for reading.
