Hello and welcome to my blog!
It’s that time again for another wrap up. I said in my May TBR that I didn’t think I’d be able to get to many books this month due to school and although I wish I could have read more but I managed to finish six books this month.
Spell Tracker by Alex C. Vick- This was an odd one which I picked at random from my backlist Netgally ARCs and actually really enjoyed it. It features reincarnation, magic and a pretty sweet m/m romance. It’s not the best book in the world but was a very enjoyable read to fly through one weekend.
Assemblywoman by Aristophanes- This was super short, like less then fifty pages but I read it what feels like a million times, and I went to watch the play with my class and I got a sunburn. And so I’m going to include it and have it add to my yearly reading goal. (Overall it was kind of interesting. Set in ancient times of women taking over politics and if I hadn’t been forced to read it and do an exam about it I would have liked it more).
The Raven Boys by Maggie Stiefvater- Another for school although this was much more enjoyable! I’ve been (re) reading this book in Spanish for ages now and I finally finished it this month!
Heartstopper Volume 1 by Alice Oseman- THIS IS THE CUTEST THING IN THE WORLD AN EVERYBODY’S GOT TO GO AND READ IT! That’s it. That’s all I’ve got to say.
Again, But Better by Christine Riccio- What is there to say that I haven’t already said in my long ass review? I wasn’t a fan. Cringey dialogue, weird plot points, a ridiculous romance and a love interest with no personality called fucking Pilot.
Say Her Name by James Dawson- (For the longest time I thought the authors name was Juno and now my mind is blown!) This was another random pick up and it was actually my first ever horror novel revolving around Bloody Mary and I actually really enjoyed it.
Currently Reading:
City of Bones by Cassandra Clare- I’m rereading this again in Spanish! I’ve got two weeks to finish this and give in my report for class to get those extra class points I desperately need. Considering it took me three months to read Raven Boys I’m doing really well reading this and I’m already over halfway through.
This was a bit of an odd and mismatched reading month but I’m glad I managed to fit some things in. Thanks for reading.
