Hello and Happy Tuesday!
For this next month and hopefully following months I’ve decided to take part in Top 5 Tuesday which is hosted by Shanah @ Bionic Book . The theme for this month is all books that start with the following letters of the alphabet.
Again But Better by Christine Riccio
When I received an ARC for this courtesy of Netgalley I shit you not I screamed. I was so excited about reading this. Granted that excitement went away as soon as I actually started reading it but in recent weeks I’ve come to have a new appreciation for this book. Its bad it really it however I find reading other peoples reviews so entertaining that I have to give it props. Just the overall ridiculousness of this book and the reviews that include sentences like “a clusterfuck of quirky nonsense” keep me so entertained.
Becoming by Michelle Obama
I haven’t read this yet, I don’t even own it yet but I am DYING to read this book. Michelle Obama is just amazing and I really want to hear more of what she has to say and what her life was like before/during/after being the First Lady.
Cress by Marissa Meyer
Cress, book number 3 in the Lunar Chronicles is probably my favourite of the series. Cress herself is so sweet and how could I not love a book with so much Captain Thorne moments.
The Darkest Legacy by Alexander Bracken
I can’t decide if I want to read this book. This is the new fourth book in the Darkest Minds series, a dystopian series I thought I had finally completed but nope because she brought out another book. As much as I loved Zu, who this book follows, I don’t know if I want to continue on.
The Exact Opposite of Okay by Laura Steven
I’m never not going to miss an opportunity to plug this book and it’s recently been released in America so GO AND READ THIS BOOK! It follows hilarious Izzie O’Neil a poor but budding screen writer whose nudes go public starting a huge, very important discussion on revenge porn although it manages to keep the balance of political and incredibly entertaining. Also the author herself is a gem and everybody should support her.
I had a lot of fun doing this ABCDE topic and I’m looking forward to continuing on through the alphabet for the rest of the month.
Thank you for reading.
