My Favourite Covers of 2019 // Top 5 Tuesday

Hello and happy Tuesday!

Today’s topic is very exciting, one I’m very looking forward to and that: Top 5 Covers of 2019. Publishers are really stepping it up and books these days are a work of art and for that I am eternally grateful.

Top 5 Tuesday is hosted by Shannah @ The Bionic Book Worm

Descendant of the Crane by Joan He

So this first book I have not read and I have long since forgotten what this book is about however LOOK HOW PRETTY!!!! I love everything from the design to the overall aesthetic. I want this whole entire cover tattooed on my body!!!

Like a Love Story by Abdi Nazemian

I own this book and I can testify to this books beauty. The photo (which is kind of low-res sorry) just does not do it justice. In real life the colours are all so vibrant and neon and I am dying to read this!

Wilder Girls by Rory Power

I’ve heard mixed things about this book but we’re not talking about the inside of books today we’re talking about the outside and this one is amazing! I love illustrated covers and this is so beautifully done.

The Guinevere Deception by Kiersten White

As if getting more Arthurian Legend content isn’t enough we’ve been blessed with this cover! I bet with the gold this is going to be even better as a hardcover finished copy.

Sorcery of Thorns by Margaret Rogerson

I couldn’t not talk about the beauty of this book considering the fact that it’s sat right next to me. I re-arranged my bookshelves to accommodate showing this off. I started this properly last night/the night before. I’m not too far in, only 60 or so pages as I’m writing this but so far so good, I’m hoping it gets even better.

    1. I only noticed that as I was writing this post too. As someone with a deep fear of birds of really anything with a giant ass beak and claws coming across a crane double the size of me would give me an actual heart attack.

  1. I haven’t been a big fan of Kiersten White’s writing, but I always love her ideas, and the cover of the Guinevere book is going to be so hard to pass up! I might have to give her another chance.

    1. I’ve heard mixed reviews on her books but I haven’t read anything by her personally. I’m willing to give her a shot though because I love all things Arthur/Merlin based. Also I neeeeed to own this cover.

  2. Oh… Like a love Story has a beautiful cover. i don’t have it, I just love the symbolism of three friends giving their backs to us and walking to a brighter world (also how different they seem).
The other books are beautiful, I didn’t know about most of them, but The Guinevere Deception seems like a good book.
    Have a nice day.
