Hi, hey, hello and happy Tuesday!
This weeks Top 5 Tuesday is Books on my current TBR and for some reason I’m weirdly excited about this topic. I suppose this could also be classed as my November TBR since you know, it’s November and these are the books I want to get to ASAP but I don’t mind if I don’t get to all of them or if I change my mind halfway through the month.
Top 5 Tuesday is hosted by Shanah @ The Bionic Book Worm.
1- Call Down the Hawk by Maggie Stiefvater
THIS COMES OUT TODAY!!! Can you hear me screaming. I have a French exam today and I plan on ordering this as soon as I get home from school either as a congratulations or as a commiserations, it depends, and hopefully it’ll come by the weekend and I can get this read before my teachers decide to give me another million projects and exams.
I am so incredibly excited about this, I have high hopes, maybe too high but I have faith.
2- Tweet Cute by Emma Lord
Tweet Cute is actually my current read! This book doesn’t come out till 2020 but I have an arc and I want to try and do better about reading my arcs before their release date. Not only that but I’ve heard really great things about this so far. I’m not very far in yet, only around 10% but I’m enjoying it so far and I think I’m really going to like it.
3- Autoboyography by Christina Lauren
This was on my TBR last month and I just never got round to it but I need to. I have it pinned to my front phone screen and everything as an incentive to read. My problem is I keep clicking on Tumblr or Bitlife instead. So many people love this and I think I will too but I’m scared this is going to be emotional and if there’s one thing I don’t like it’s feeling emotions.
4- Only Ashes Remain by Rebecca Shaeffer
This is the sequel to Not Even Bones which I read a few months ago and LOVED! I am very excited about this book, I’m hoping it’s just as gross and gruesome as book one and that I enjoy it even more so. Whether I read this in November depends on my overall mood but I do want to read it before the end of the year.
5- Romeo and Juliet
The liklihood of me reading more then four books in a month while I’ve got school going on is slim to none so I’m going to include Romeo and Juliet which is what we’re all reading in my universal literature class and what I’ll probably have to finish this November.
Strangely enough I’m enjoying this. And even stranger is the fact that I’m understanding it better in Spanish then when I originally tried to read it in English. Reading it in Spanish also makes it 10x funnier as well because of the way I read the big dramatic, emotional and totally extra love declarations. Hopefully my random enjoyment of this play helps me pass this class.
So that’s my current TBR. It’ll probably change because it always changes but those are the 5 books I’m kind of feeling in the mood for right now.
I hope I get to these soon and most importantly I hope I get my hands on Call Down the Hawk quickly because I don’t know how much longer I can wait! I’m thinking we may need to set up a group therapy session of some sort by the time I’m done though. Thanks for reading 🙂
We are slaves to our TBR piles, aren’t we?! Lol! Great List.
I hope you enjoy the rest of your week, Elli. Here’s my Top 5 Tuesday Post
