The End of the Year Book Tag 2019

Hi, hey, hello and welcome to my blog πŸ™‚

Today I’m doing the End of the Year Book tag. I’ve actually wanted to do this tag for a while now and Virginia @ The Sassy Library Fox actually tagged me! Thank you so much!

It really does feel like the last home stretch of the year now. It’s finally starting to get colder, mums talking about Christmas every chance she gets and my teachers are piling on exams and projects like there’s no tomorrow.

Talking about projects, I’ve got a history presentation on the textile industry I’ve been procrastinating so let’s get started πŸ™‚

🌻 Are there any books you started this year that you need to finish?🌻

Miraculously no. I finished Sorcery of Thorns the other week which took me a month to read and besides that any books I’ve put down this year I’ve put them down for good with no intentions of picking them back up again.

🌻Do you have an autumnal book to transition into the end of the year?🌻

No I don’t think so. I mean as the weather gets colder and Halloween approaches I’m more likely to pick up some ghost stories or witchy reads but there’s nothing concrete. I’m 100% a mood reader and pick up whichever book takes my fancy.

🌻 Is there a new release you’re still waiting for?🌻

Is anyone surprised? I’ve not stopped talking about this book. Ok so this came out yesterday (as I’m writing this). I got home from school, had to go up to the bank to put money in my mums account, the ATM bloody broke! And then when I finally got around to ordering it Amazon said it wouldn’t arrive until between 14th-28th!

That’s like 2 weeks away! I have to wait basically forever for my most anticipated release of all time and I can’t cope. I’m currently so jealous of everyone reading this on Goodreads. By the time this gets to me I’m going to be so ready to demolish this!

🌻 What are 3 books you want to read before the end of the year?🌻

Well besides from Call Down the Hawk I’m not really sure. I’d like to get to a few remaining 2019 releases I haven’t read yet like Like a Love Story and I definitely want to get some more arcs read like Tweet Cute which I’m currently reading and liking so far.

🌻 Is there a book you think could still shock you and become your favourite book of the year?🌻

I actually haven’t thought about my favourites of the year for a while so I don’t know what’s already on there and like I said I don’t know what I actually want to read over the next 2 months but who knows. I don’t know if any will be able to take the top spot butΒ  I might be pleasantly surprised.

🌻 Have you already started making reading plans for 2020?🌻

Yep. I’ve actually already talked on this blog about some 2020 releases I’ve got my eye on and since then the list keeps growing. I’ve got a list of “new” genres I want to try too with a bunch of books I think could work for me, mainly Dark Academia, that’s a genre I think has potential for me to like.

So short answer: Yes. I have all the plans. black-and-white-flowers-tumblr-transparent-12

I tag:

I don’t know who’s done this and who hasn’t but if you do do it I hope you have fun.

Thanks for reading πŸ™‚

Elli.

    1. It’s trending on tumblr and I can’t see anything because last night I was smart and backlisted all tags to stop myself from purposefully seeing spoilers. I’m dying! But yes, at least we’re suffering together πŸ˜‚
Thank you again for the tag xx

  1. Omg thank you for tagging me! I was literally watching a booktuber do this tag yesterday and it seemed like fun (coincidence? I think not) (also my deepest sympathies, ATMs suck but beware of spoilers!)
