Authors I need to read // Top 5 Tuesday

Hi, hey, hello and happy Tuesday!

Ok so this weeks top 5 Tuesday topics, as mentioned above in the title, is 5 Authors I need to read.

Now. I found this topic quite hard because I’ve done so well this past year at trying out new authors, especially the most well known authors like, for example: Rainbow Rowel, Adam Silvera, Jenn Bennet, etc.

I did manage to come up with a few authors I’m interested in checking out but only really one or two are top priority right now.

Donna Tart

Donna Tart is an author I really want to read next year. I really want to try out some “dark academia” books and I think she’s a good place to start with her book The Secrete History. Also the movie for The Goldfinch came out recently and it looks really good so I want to try that too.

Brandon Sanderson

More or less everyone loves Brandon Sanderson and so I think I want to read one of his books out of principle then anything else. My problem though is that I don’t like high fantasy or science-fiction which seems to be his main genre. I am however interested in The Reckoners trilogy which is like superheroes and all that fun stuff.

Alice Oseman

I’ve been saying I’m going to read a book by Alice Oseman for maybe a year now and I still have not done it. I’ve read Heartstopper but I don’t  count that because it was 100 pages of cute drawings. I’ve been eyeing Solitaire on my shelf recently and I think I might finally be in the mood to read it. Have I just jinxed that by mentioning it here? Probably.
