Hi, hey, hello and happy Tuesday 🙂
Todays Top 5 Tuesday is all about rewriting books and at first I thought this topic was going to be really hard but I came up with my list in about five minutes. I have a lot of things I want to change.
Top 5 Tuesday is hosted by Shanah @ The Bionic Book Worm
Shadow & Bone by Leigh Bardugo
I mentioned in my review of this book that I hated Mal with a vengeance and wanted him to die. Yes I was that dramatic. So if I could re-write this book that’s what I’d do. If I had my way he’d have been eaten during the first few chapters and I wouldn’t regret a single thing.
The Kings Men by Nora Sakovic
Listen. This book is perfection. Hands down my favourite in the trilogy and one of my favourite books full stop. However! I saw on Tumblr recently that someone thought that Andrew and Neil’s matching phones and coats would somehow come into play with the plot. Like they’d get mixed up and Andrew would see the 0 countdown or something and how amazing would that be!
But even without that this book is 10/10
Let’s Talk About Love by Claire Kann
Less ()’s. Just get rid of them. I never want to see such an excessive use of them again.
Superior by Jessica Lack
I don’t want to re-write this book, exactly, I just want to extend it by a good 200+ pages or so. I loved everything about this book which revolves around a Superhero’s intern and a Supervillain’s apprentice falling in love. The problem was that it was only 56 pages long and I needed more!
Again, But Better by Christine Riccio
This has been everyone’s favourite book to roast this year, myself included but I do think the overall premise and plot of this book has potential … it just needs some serious work. A lot of work even.
The main character Shane needs to be less like Christine and also less creepy when it comes to Pilot, the writing needs to be more mature and less like it was written by a twelve year old finding their love of writing on Wattpad for the first time and Pilot needs a better name and a much better personality.
I’m really not asking for much.
So there we go. Editors please contact me whenever you’re ready so we can discuss my fee for re-writing these books. Some of these changes I’ve mentioned above I want so badly I may even do it for free. Thanks for reading 🙂
