November Wrap Up

Hi, hey, hello and welcome to my blog 🙂

Earlier today I was sat scrolling through, reading other peoples posts, trying not to stress over exams, etc, when I started seeing “November Wrap Up” and I was like holy shit! It somehow completely slipped my mind that we’re one more month down!

Eleven down one more to go.

Anyways not that I’ve crashed back down to reality I’m here to do my own November Wrap Up 🙂

The first thing I read this month was a carry over from October and that was Revenant by Mere Joyce, the newly released sequel I’d previously been counting down the days for.  This series follows Callum who see’s ghost and goes to a summer camp for people who see ghosts. I loved this book so much! And my ship sailed people! I never thought they would happen, especially not only in book 2 but I was so excited!!

Then I finished reading Romeo & Juliet, my first ever classic and … I weirdly enjoyed it. I found it a lot funnier then I think I should have but it was a good read and I actually did a whole post about it HERE.

Next up I read Speak by Laurie Halse Anderson and wow I had chills. This book made me feel so much and I highly recommend.

I finally read Solitaire by Alice Oseman which I have to give myself a pat on the back for because I’ve had this on my shelf for a while. I sadly didn’t enjoy this book as much as I thought I would but it was a solid read. I really enjoyed Tori and Michaels relationships and I loved seeing Charlie and Nick even if it did kind of break my heart. I am looking forward to reading more by Oseman and I wrote a full review HERE.

I then read Check Please!: Year One by Ngozi Ukazu. It was trending on Tumblr. I see this online all the time and I couldn’t hold out any longer so I started reading the Web Comic which I’m still counting because I’m sure the online version is exactly the same as the physical copy.

And now onto what I’m currently reading.

Straight after the first I started reading Check Please!: Year Two. I love Bitty so much, he’s such a sweetie. Heart of pure gold. I’m looking forward to continuing on with this comic, I think I like it because it lowkey reminds me of The Foxhole Court aka my favourite series ever.

I’ve been reading Tweet Cute by Emma Lord all month! Literally ALL month! Please don’t take my taking forever to read this as a bad sign because what I’ve read I’ve loved and all I’m seeing is good reviews. I’m reading this on my kindle before bed but recently I get to bed and more or less pass out so … it’s taking me a while.

And finally we have my most anticipated release of 2020 Call Down the Hawk by Maggie Stiefvater. I’m a little over 100 pages in and I am living for it but I’m also really scared. This has more characters then I was expecting and Maggie has such a writing style that I get lost sometimes if I don’t pay too close attention. I’ve been looking forward to this book for so long that I’m going to take my time.

All I have to say about it so far is that I love Adam Parrish, I love Ronan Lynch and if anything happens to sweet little Matthew I will revolt.

black-and-white-flowers-tumblr-transparent-12So those are the books I’ve read/am currently reading. Overall I’m quite proud of what I’ve read. Three books plus a graphic novel and a classic.

I’m really looking forward to finishing up what I’ve currently read, I just need to survive these next two weeks of exams first. Thanks for reading 🙂

  1. I’m sorry you didn’t enjoy Solitaire much. I have it on my TBR and I want to read it soon. But I’m glad Speak made you feel so many things! I read it last year and it was SO GOOD! I recently watched the movie and it was super important and powerful and totally broke my heart…!!
