2019 Releases I Didn’t Get To // Top 5 Tuesday

aaaa

Hi, hey, hello and happy Tuesday!!!

Today’s Top 5 Tuesday topic is Top 5 Books You Didn’t Get to in 2019. I’m actually really happy with everything I’ve read this year, there’s no backlist books or anything like that that I’m dying to read or disappointed I didn’t get to.

And so I’m going to be talking exclusively about 2019 releases I didn’t get to in 2019 but that I do still want to read. Some of these I’ve talked about at length, others are more recent discoveries that I’ve realised I want to read.

Top 5 Tuesday is hosted by Shanah @ The Bionic Book Worm

American Royals by Katherine McGee

This is a book that came on my radar quite recently, it’s about what if instead of becoming president, George Washington became a king and it follows his descendants.

I love a good modern royals story, which is strange since I don’t care about real life royals, and I did a school project recently on the American Revolution and so I’m really interested in this. I’ve heard reviews that it’s quite romance heavy and although that’s not my usual cup of tea I don’t think I mind too much.

Beyond the Black Door by A.M. Strickland

I’ve talked about this book a few times and although it kind of slipped my mind in the recent weeks it is a book I am still dying to read it. The nitty-gritty details of the plot I’m not clear on but I know that this is fantasy with asexual representation, something I definitely need in my life.

Ninth House by Leigh Bardugo

This sounds dark, and I mean really, really dark and I do think there’s a chance that it might not be my cup of tea but I want to give it a try.

The Guinevere Deception by Kiersten White

I haven’t seen many reviews on this since it came out but I am Merlin/King Author trash. I never actually finished watching the Merlin tv show because I know how it ends and I can’t put myself through the pain.

10 Blind Dates by Ashley Elston

This is another that only recently caught my attention. I’ve seen it floating around since before it’s release but now that I’ve heard reviews that people loved it I think I want to pick it up. This follows a girl who breaks up with her boyfriend over the holidays, I think, and her family start setting her up on 10 blind dates.

So those are five books that came out this year that I’m still hoping on getting to in the new year. Has anyone read any of these books? Thanks for reading 🙂
