Hi, hey, hello and happy Tuesday!
Today is the first Top 5 Tuesday of the year and the topic is: 5 Books I need to read in 2020.
I lowkey have no idea what books are going to appear on this list. Its day number five of being back at school and my brain is fried and I already feel like I’m behind so let me tell you that this should be fun.
Top 5 Tuesday is hosted by Shanah @ Bionic Bibliophile
A Court of Thorns and Roses by Sarah J. Maas
I feel like I’m not going to like this book and I highly doubt I’ll be continuing on with the rest of the series but honestly I just need to get it over and done with. I’ve had this book since I first got into reading and it’s just sat there ever since. I swear I’m gonna try and read this book in 2020.
Grave Mercy by Robin LaFevers
I’m currently reading Nevernight by Jay Kristoff (still) and I’m really enjoying the fantasy and the assassin elements more than I was expecting to and Grave Mercy apparently has this. I’m thinking 2020 could be the year of me reading fantasy which is shocking but exciting.
A Gathering of Darkness by V.E Schwab
Was this on last years list? Yep. Did I read it? Nope.
I plan on fixing this in 2020. Hopefully.
With the Fire on High by Elizabeth Acevado
I was trying to keep this list down to backlist books and especially books I’ve had on my shelf forever but I seriously need to read this book. It came out last year and I have not stopped hearing great things so I will definitely be getting to this soon.
What I Lost by Alexandra Ballard
I want to read more hard hitting contemporaries and this book follows a girl with an eating disorder which is something I want to learn more about and be more educated of. I put this on a few tbr’s last year but I’m really hoping to get to it this year.
So those are 5 books I need to read in 2020. I’ve probably jinxed myself with putting it in words but I’m sure I’ll get to at least half of them.
Has anyone read any of these books? I’d love to hear what you think. Thanks for reading š
