Hi, hey, hello and welcome to my blog.
It’s nearly Valentines day. Woo. That might be more exciting to me if I liked romance and also if I didn’t have two exams this week (Greek and Philosophy. Kill me now) but I plan on milking the occasion for as many blog posts as possible so please enjoy.
Today I’m handing out my unwanted opinion on what books I recommend you read for all those good romancey feels 🙂
Tweet Cute by Emma Lord
I have not shut up about this book since receiving an ARC before the new year and for good reason.
This book follows Pepper and Jack, two classmates at an elite New York school who inadvertently get involved in a twitter war with each other on behalf of their familys grilled cheese businesses.
This book is: cute, funny, adorable. I really loved the progress of the romance and how there was no unnecessary relationship drama and both Jack and Pepper were very mature. I cannot recommend this book enough.
Heartstopper by Alice Oseman
I literally finished re-reading Volume 1 about an hour and a half ago as of writing this post and I just bought volumes 2 and 3.
This is a super popular graphic novel series I’m sure you’ve heard of following Nick Nelson and Charlie Spring’s adorably sweet high school romance. It’s full of “aww” worthy moments to go along with cute illustrations.
Like I said I re-read Volume 1 earlier today and I plan on reading the following 2 released volumes in the next few days. These are going to be perfect to help me de-stress over this next week and if you haven’t read this yet then now’s your chance. What’s even better is that the who web comic is up for free online.
100 Days of Sunlight by Abbie Emmons
100 Days of Sunlight follows a girl called Tessa who is temporarily blind and her grandparents hire a boy called Weston to update her blog for her and as you may be able to guess a romance soon blossoms between the two of them however Weston hasn’t told her that he’s an amputee.
This is a very … subdued romance. I don’t know if that’s the right word but what I’m trying to say is that this is a super easy book to get through, it leaves you with all the feels and although not perfect is a really strong book.
Red, White & Royal Blue by Casey McQuiston
How could I not mention this book? Of course this book was going to be on my romance recommendations list.
This took the book world by storm last year and I know every body is probably fed up of it by now but not me. No sir-y. I will talk about this book until the day I die because it was that amazing.
We’ve got: bisexual crisis, royal romance, an iconic SQUAD™, emails full of pining, Prince of England singing “God save the Queen” to get rid of a boner. Perfection.
So there we have it, those are some romance heavy books I would happily force everyone to read if I could.
I’d love to hear your thoughts and opinions on any of these or if you have any recommendations for me? Thanks for reading.
