What I’ve Been Watching …#1

Hi, hey, hello and welcome to my blog.

Today I’m trying something new and it might become a regular thing. It might not. I really don’t know.

Anyways today I am going to be talking a little about “What I’ve been watching recently”. If I do choose to do more of these they really won’t be often because I don’t watch many movies.

I’m rambling so I’m just gonna go ahead and start:

Bad Boys for Life (2020) – I have watched both original Bad Boys movies multiple times in my life because child me was weirdly obsessed with Will Smith movies. Don’t ask why. It was a strange time.

Anyways me and mum have been waiting for the release of this third movie for such a long time and so of course when it was finally released we went to cinema and watched it. I thought this movie was actually pretty funny and didn’t feel like an unnecessary add on to a popular franchise.

Booksmart (2019)– Wow this movie was hilarious. That’s all I have to say. Go watch this movie and if you can’t be bothered to do that then at least go watch the YouTube compilations of a character named Gigi played by Billie Lourd who is amazing in this movie.

Miss Americana (2020)- This is Taylor Swifts recently released documentary and I don’t know why I watched it because it’s not like I’m a huge fan of hers besides singing along to her songs but it was trending and I was curious and that’s about it.

The Curse of la Llorona (2019)- I’ve had this movie on my watchlist for awhile and although the premise of the wailing woman who drowns children is interesting the movie itself was a bit meh. This is set in the Conjuring/Annabelle universe though and I didn’t know that when going into it so that was fun.

Brightburn (2019)- I really liked this movie. This movie asks “what if superman was a bad guy” because it’s about a sweet American couple living on a farm who adopt the baby that fell out of the sky in spaceship … except ten years later the kid starts going completely insane and killing people with his otherworldly superpowers.

I wasn’t expecting to like this as much as I did and it was much more gory then I was expecting. There was one scene that was especially Jaw Dropping™. I definitely hope they make some sort of sequel.

Isn’t It Romantic (2019)- I watched this because my mum refused to go to bed after watching so many scary movies but I’m glad she made me watch it because this was genuinely funny and apparently I like watching Rebel Wilson and Adam Devine fall in love.

Harley Quinn: Brirds of Prey (2020)- The day I went to see this I had my evening planned out to a T: home, shower, eat, start studying for the exam I have tomorrow. And then my friend texts saying she has free tickets to see this and of course I dropped everything and went with her.

This movie was so much fun. Its what Suicide Squad wish it could have been. It wasn’t the best movie ever byany means but I loved the outfits and the set designs plus it got me out of the house and away from my studying for a few hours so …

So those are a whole bunch of movies I’ve watched recently I really liked. I’ve really enjoyed talking about what I’ve watched recently, even just briefuly so maybe I’ll do it again in a couple of months.

I’d love to know if anyone else has watched any of these and what you thought. Thanks for reading.

Elli xx
