Hi, hey, hello and happy Tuesday!
Today’s Top 5 Tuesday topic is: Books that made me laugh and I have a disclaimer before getting into the list: I have a terrible memory so these may not be as funny as I remember, I also have a terrible sense of humour. I blame my dad for this. We have a running joke about chickens wearing flipflops so … Be Warned.
Top 5 Tuesday is hosted by Shanah @ Bionic Book Worm
Again But Better by Christine Riccio
This book wasn’t funny on purpose but it was funny none the less from the name of the love interest: Pilot Penn, to the terrible metaphors you can’t help but laugh at. The fun of the book doesn’t end with the last page either because the reviews for this because are just as entertaining.
The Percy Jackson Series by Rick Riordan
I’ve not re-read these in a while and it’s something I’ve really been wanting to do recently. My problem however is that I let someone borrow the first book years ago and I never got it back so now I’m 1 book down. I’m genuinely considering just starting from book 2 because these books are so funny even if they are geared at a younger audience they always make me laugh.
Parsnips, Buttered by Joe Lycett
I personally really love Joe Lycett, he’s a British pansexual comedian and you can watch loads of his stuff on YouTube which you should do, trust me it will past the time, but he also has a book. I’m not saying its hilarious cover to cover but it really put a smile on my face.
The Shadowhunter Chronicles by Cassandra Clare
I definitly had to put atleast one book from the many in this serieson this list but I couldnt pick one that as funnier over the rest.
Some of my favourite funny scenes/moments is basically anything with Mark Blackthorn from the Dark Artifices series. Mark Blackthron was the shinning star of that series and you can’t convince me otherwise.
Other hilarious books that I talk about wayyyyy too much so will just mention here:
- The Exact Opposite of Okay by Laura Steven
- Red, White and Royal Blue by Casey McQuiston
- Tweet Cute by Emma Lord
So those are some books that I personally found funny. I feel like my answers are a bit of a cop out but oh well.
I clearly need more recommendations for funny books since I always talk about the same old same old so I’m looking forward to everyone else’s lists.
Thanks for reading and stay safe!

I need to read Tweet Cute like yesterday, I see that book everywhere it’s lowkey haunting me. Great Post!
