Popular Boks I haven’t Read Yet // Top 5 Tuesday

aaaa

Hi, hey, hello and happy Tuesday.

Absolutely nothing has happened recently besides: I ate crumpets, finished season 3 of Brooklynn 99, walked my dogs in my pyjamas because apparently I’m that person now and I started reading Midnight Sun, the unreleased Twilight book from Edwards perspective and it’s hilarious. Possible blog post about that coming in the near distant future.

Anyways I’m just going to jump straight in to todays post which is all about Popular Books I haven’t Read Yet.

I feel like I’m pretty caught up on the popular YA books everyone raves about. I’ve read Fangirl and Victoria Schwab and Adam Silvera and a whole bunch of other popular books and authors but I’ve still got 5 to talk about here.

Top 5 Tuesday is hosted by Shanah @ Bionic Book Worm

1- Sadie by Courtney Summers

I cant quiet remember who exactly is missing but this is meant to be a super hard hitting book. I’ve actually tried to read this book already but I wasn’t in the mood for it. I do totally plan on picking it up again eventually though.

Carry On by Rainbow Rowell

So I’ve read Fangirl by Rainbow Rowell but I really did not like that book though. I’m willing to give Rainbow Rowell another chance though especially due to all the hype around this book especially since the release and announcement of the sequels.

I’m not only reading this for the hype though, I do like the sound of the plot though: magic schools, a vampire?, a … dragon? (I swear I’ve seen someone with dragon like wings on the covers), a love to hate romance between the vampire and the dragon boi???

Ok I’m not clear on the details but I want to read it.

Stalking Jack the Ripper by Kerri Maniscalo

I’m kind of half and half on if I want to read this book or not. On one hand I’m super into Victorian era books which I’m guessing is the backdrop for this and I am interested in Jack the Ripper, 13 year old me was known to watch many documentaries about it all.

But on the other hand I’ve seen mixed-ish things about the following books and I can’t decide if it’s something I want to invest my time and money on.

Poison Study by Marie V. Snyder

I have had this book on my shelf for god knows how long. I know this was super popular once upon a time in the Bookish community which is why I bought it in the first place but I’ve just never had the will or the want to pick it up.

Hopefully this can change soon. If anyone’s read this and liked it let me know. Might motivate me to read it faster.

ACOTAR by Sarah J. Mass

acotar

Please don’t make me write out the full title. It’s late and that’s long and I can’t be arsed.

I’ve had this book for years. This was part of my first ever book haul when I bought the first 4 Throne of Glass books and the Lunar Chronicle series. I’ve since read all of those except for ACOTAR.

I know for some people they think this series is gold and for others they think it’s trash. I like reading good things cause I like good things but I also like reading bad things for the lolz and for the excuse to complain so I’d be fine with witchever I just have never gotten around to it.

It also feels like a big commitment. The books keep getting bigger and bigger and she keeps releasing more of them and yeah I’m super intimidated by this book and this series.

So those are 5 super popular YA books I want to read, some of them I even own and could literally read at any moment of my choosing, but haven’t.

If you’ve read any of these I’d love to hear your thoughts. Should I read them or should I re-read Harry Potter for the millionth time? Let me know.
