Helloo and happy Friday 🙂 I have had a pretty productive week. I finished my history project a week early, I finished a couple of books, made progress on a book report, plus a whole lot of other boring, school related stuff and so I’m doing something fun to finish off the week.
Today I am going to be doing the Percy Jackson/Heroes of Olympus Character book tag which was originally created by May @ Forever and Everyly. I have been seeing this everywhere and it looks like so much fun so I’m doing it too.
I’m actually currently re-reading the whole Riordanverse series. I swear I’m psychic. I read Midnight Sun by Stephenie Meyer and two weeks later it was announced it was going to be published. I started re-reading the Percy Jackson series and a few weeks later it was announced it was being adapted by Disney!!!!
I belong at 300 Foxway is all I’m saying.
🌊Percy Jackson: Your best/favourite book of the year🌊
I’ve read 39 books this year and yet without question my favourite book of the year is More Than Maybe by Erin Hahn and it’s not even out yet! This is a book I just can’t get out of my head and it makes me smile every time I think of it.
I wrote my review for this at 1am straight after reading and I re-read that review the other day to check for spelling mistakes and all that and I genuinely think it’s the best review I’ve ever written 😂 I can’t wait to get my hands on a physical copy and re-read it till die.
📖Annabeth Chase:A book where you’re in awe of the authors geniu📖
Not to be a total suck up but you’ve got to give a bit of credit to Cassandra Clare. Maybe it’s because I just finished Clockwork Princess like half an hour ago but she’s literally created intertwining family trees and complicated political histories for this urban fantasy worlds.
I’m planning on starting Chain of Gold tonight before bed and I’m considering writing out a basic family tree to keep track of who’s who.
🌿Grover Underwood: A book you love that’s underhyped🌿
I feel like Oracle of Senders series by Mere Joyce is pretty underrated. This book basically follows a boy called Callum who can see the ghosts of those who’ve been murderd and he attends a summer camp for people like him who can also see ghosts.
I love ghosts books and I love books about people who can see ghosts. Shade and Revenant were both so entertaining and I’m excited for the following books in the series.
🗡Luke Castellan: A book you thought you’d hate but didn’t🗡
I was convinced I was going to hate Romeo & Juliet when I was forced to read it for school last year but it actually wasn’t that bad. I laughed at the tragic ending which I don’t think Shakespeare was going for but ya know.
🏹Chiron: A book that will always feel like home🏹
The Percy Jackson series. I swear I’m not saying this just because I’m doing the Percy Jackson book tag. Like I said I’m in the middle of re-reading this series, I’ve got one book to go and it’s just been so much fun coming back to this series. The plot and the characters are all so familiar but still so fun.
👁Tyson: A book with a sibling relationship you adore👁
Tyson is the best. I love him with my whole heart.
The first sibling relationship that comes to mind is Ronan and Matthew. This is just so pure. And so cute. And so funny. I mean I love all three Lynch brothers. Believe me when I say this is not Declan erasure, but Ronan and Matthew interactions always make me smile.
🌩Thalia Grace: A book where time froze when you read it🌩
A recent read! I started With The Fire on High by Elizabeth Acevedo at midnight, I was gonna read a couple of chapters before going to sleep and the next thing I know it’s 1:30 am and I’m halfway through! It was a case of “how the hell did that happen!”
☠Nico di Angelo: A well loved book you love too☠
Everybody is obsessed with Heartstopper by Alice Oseman and for good reason. I read these when I’m anxious. They’re cute. They’re fun. Go read them if you haven’t already.
🏵Calypso: A book you’d be marooned on an island with🏵
A Court of Thorns and Roses by Sarah J. Maas because maybe then I would finally read it … but then again I doubt it because five years of owning it still hasn’t made me pick it up.
🔮Rachel Dare: A book you predict you’ll give 5 stars🔮
Going off my TBR for next month I think Like a Love Story by Abdi Nazemian has the potential to be a 5 star read. I’ve been hyping this up so much in my head though since it’s release last year that I’m not sure. I’m scared. Please be good.🤞
⚡Jason Grace: An upcoming book you’d get hit by a brick to read now⚡
I don’t even know if this is coming out this year but I would happily take a brick or two to the face to read book two of The Dreamers Trilogy by Maggie Stiefvater. To be honest I’d take a brick just to see the cover or the synopsis.
🔪Piper McClean: A book you love that someone convinced you to re🔪
It took a fair few people basically screaming at me online before I finally picked up Six of Crows by Leigh Bardugo … and then it took those same people screaming at me again nearly a year later before I read Crooked Kingdom which again, I loved because of course I did.
🔥Leo Valdez: The funniest book you’ve read🔥
It’s getting late and I’m struggling to think of things so this is kind of my answer but it’s also kind of not.
The funniest book I’ve read lately was Midnight Sun. Edward spending nearly a whole chapter thinking of ways he’s going to murder Bella when he first meets her while she’s just thinking “do I smell?” KILLED ME!
God I just kept laughing throughout this and I can’t wait to read the whole thing.
💎Hazel Levesque: An old book/book you read a long time ago but still love💎
I read the first book of The Naturals series by Jennifer Lynn Barnes for the first time back in … 2016(?) and I read the final book Bad Blood in … 2018(?) That’s a long time in my eyes so that’s what I’m going with.
I’ve actually been considering a re-read of this recently though.
🐾Frank Zhang: A book you were afraid to reach the end of🐾
I was pretty nervous about reaching the end of Archenemies by Marissa Meyer mainly because I am so invested in Adrian & Nova and I just couldn’t bare anything bad happening to them or to their relationship. God help me when I pick up the finale.
⚔Reyna Ramirez-Arellano: A book everyone hates but you love⚔
Listen. I’m a follower. If I see a large amount of people don’t like a book the chances of me readng that book are slim to none because I don’t have the time and I don’t have the money so I really don’t know about this.
🧸Octavian: A book you would punch without hesitation🧸
As in like a book I hated so much that I’d punch it? The Summer I Turned Pretty by Jenny Hann. God I hate this booooooookkkkkkk.
💕Percabeth: A book with the best romance💕
I mean Percy and Annabeth are the OG’s, they’re adorable, they can’t be beaten.
This was fun. It took me forever because what is concentration? What is sticking to one thing and not getting distracted? What is that?
