I’ve just written and rewritten the words “hi” then “hello” like three times over cause I’m tired and can’t remember how to start a blog post so we’re bypassing the friendly virtual greeting today and getting straight into things before I go insane 🙂
Before that though I’m sure everyone’s already aware of the protests happening all over the world right now. If you haven’t signed it already HERE is the petition for Justice for George Floyd, HERE is where you can donate if you’re able and HERE is where you can watch a video of which 100% of the advertisement revenue is donated to various associations that offer protester bail funds, help pay for family funerals, and advocacy💕
I was recently (a fair few weeks ago) nominated for the Neat Blogger Award by the amazing Daria @ Bookaholic’s Therapy! Thank you so much Daria for the nomination!!! You should definitely go check out her blog if you haven’t already.
Rules
- Display the award logo
- Thank the blogger who nominated you
- Answer the questions from the blog who nominated you
- Nominate seven to ten bloggers
- Ask them seven questions
What is your favorite movie? Because I was so lost up there.
I struggle with this question. It sends me into an existential crisis and I forget every movie I’ve ever watched ever. What issss my favourite movie?
I swear I’m not copying Daria when I say this but I love the Now You See Me movies and I suppose if you’re going off how many times I’ve rewatched them and how badly I want a third movie you could say they’re my favourite.
Other possible contenders for “favourite” are The Greatest Showman, watching this has become a Christmas tradition, or Spiderman: Into the Spiderverse which is such a beautifully animated movie!
Who’s your favorite author?
Jenn Bennett is definitely a favourite author at this point. I’ve loved to many of her books for her not to be. Erin Hahn is an author who I also am in love with even though she only has two published works (which I am obsessed with!). And Rick Riordan definitly needs a shout out. I’ve fallen even more in love with his work over the last few months if that’s even possible.
What is your favorite book from when you were a kid?
I don’t have much memory of having a solid favourite book from when I was a kid. I know I liked the Diary of a Wimpy Kid books, I had the boxset of the first 4 which I read over and over.
I was also a big fan of Jaqueline Wilson to the point where a teacher gifted me the book Double Act on my last day at school before I moved to spain.
What’s your favorite Disney movie?
I wasn’t super into Disney growing up. I remember watching Snow White and the Seven Dwarves and being terrified of that movie so I kind of avoided those movies lol Of course I loved the High School Musical movies but in terms of old school animated Disney my fave is probably … Hercules (?)
What food will you absolutely not, under any circumstances, eat?
Liver. This is a really ridiculous reason but I hear “liver” and I just think of my own internal organs and I can’t do it.
Also bananas because bananas are the grossest looking things in the world.🤮
Do you listen to music while you read/write/study or do you prefere total silence?
I usually start off listening to music while I study but then an hour passes and I realise I haven’t gotten anything done because I can’t concentrate and keep getting distracted either because I hate the song and need to change it or because I love it too much and can’t drag my attention back to my school work so I have to turn it off.
What is the best book you’ve read so far this year?
Before this week I would have said More Than Maybe by Erin Hahn, a book I read months ago and am still thinking about, but I read Chain of Gold by Cassandra Clare over the weekend and I loved it!
I nominate:
My Questions:
- How many books do you own?
- Have you ever borrowed a book and not returned it?
- What book do you think is way to overhyped?
- Least favourite book of 2020 so far?
- Is there a book you haven’t read yet but think is going to be a 5 star read?
- Which fictional characters would you want on your team during a zombie apocalypse?
(with how 2020 is going this could be how we’re spending Christmas..) - What’s the worst book to movie adaptation you’ve ever seen?
Thank you again to Daria for the nomination and thank you for reading. Stay safe and stay positive (easier said then done I know) 💕
Thank you so much for the nomination!! I loved the Spiderman: Into the Spider-Verse movie too, and I do exactly the same thing with listening to music while I work 😂 I want to rewatch Hercules! Looking forward to answering your Qs 😀
