Translating my favourite books into Emojis!

Helloooo.

So this is 100% not my own original idea!!! I was tagged recently by Sabrina @ Notes From a Paper Plane Nomad to do the Liebster Award recently and one of the questions she’d given for me to answer was: Translate the title of your favourite book into emojis! Or even a gifset!

I loved this question so much that I decided to do it for a few more books! But yes, all credit goes to Sabrina cause she’s the one with the amazing brain who came up with this ๐Ÿ™‚

Harry Potter: โšก๐Ÿฐ๐Ÿš‚๐Ÿง™โ€โ™‚๏ธ

We’ve got a lightning bolt for Harry’s scar, what I hope you also see as a castle which clearly represents Hogwarts, an old timey train for the Hogwarts Express, and a wiz-end old sorcerer that has a remarking resemblance to Albus Percival Wulfric Brian Dumbledore.

Percy Jackson: ๐Ÿงœโ€โ™‚๏ธ๐Ÿ—กโ›บ๐ŸŒŠ๐Ÿ™

Percy is the son of the sea-god Poseidon who in some of the images I just googled has a mermaid like tail so there we go. That’s Poseidon. Then we have a sword for Riptide, the closest thing I could get to camping which represents Camp Half-Blood, a wave because … water ??? and the praying emoji because the neglected demigod kids pray to their godly parents quite a lot throughout the books.

The Raven Cycle: ๐Ÿ‘‘๐Ÿš—๐Ÿ”ฎ๐Ÿ‘ป๐Ÿ‘จโ€๐ŸŒพ

This one was hard and THERE’S NO RAVEN EMOJI SO WHAT’S EVEN THE POINT but we’ve got … a crown for King Gansey, a car which I know isn’t orange like it should be but I has limited options and there’s lot of cars in this book in general so it’s fine, then we’ve got a magic ball (I forgot what it’s called. Don’t judge. English is my first language but that doesn’t mean I’m very good at it๐Ÿ˜‚) because Psychics!!!. A ghost for my favourite ghost boi and finally a farmer for Ronan. If you know the you know.

All For The Game: ๐ŸฆŠ๐Ÿฅ๐Ÿ”ช๐Ÿพ๐Ÿงก

I did this one back in the tag but it was fun so I’m re-doing it here!!!

A fox because they’re the PSU Foxes. A lacrosse stick because as sad as it is to say, Exy isn’t a real game and this is the closest sport there is. A knife because that’s the aesthetic of the series: knives and foxes. Paw prints because I felt like I needed something more, plus an orange love-heart because the Foxes deserves all the love in the world.

City of Ghosts: ๐Ÿ‘ป๐Ÿ“ธ๐ŸŒ๐Ÿฆธโ€โ™‚๏ธ

Ghosts because that’s literally what this book is about. A camera because Cassidy is a photographer and that’s also a big part of the story, an emoji of the earth because the books are set all over the world (Scotland, France โ€ฆ idk what the third one is yet) and finally a superhero cause Ghost-Boy Jacob wears a Captain America t-shirt and once again this is the closest I can get.black-and-white-flowers-tumblr-transparent-12

This was meant to be easy and yet I’ve been sat here for so long. I don’t think this is necessarily “translating” but I really don’t know what else to call this post. Ughhhh this whole thing is a mess and I apologies but it was fun!

Thanks to Sabrina for the idea and thanks for reading. Stay safe :)))
