I’ve already got an “anticipated 2021” list – Someone please stop me😭

Hi and howdy and welcome to my blog.

I have made many, many posts talking at length about my anticipated 2020 releases. Currently as it stands I have read a few but nowhere near as many as I’d like to and yet here I am. With a list of 2021 releases I’m excited about.

I need to chill. Infact I need to stop entirely but I can’t!!! And so here’s six 2021 releases I’m highly anticipating

the ravensThe Ravens by Kass Morgan & Danielle Paige

The theme of books named after birds that aren’t actually about birds is continuing on into 2021 it seems.

This book is sadly not about a flock of ravens, living their best life. It’s infact about a notorious sorority which is actually a coven of witches.

I love me a witch book and I’m really hoping I’ll love this.

Publication Date: January 5th

You Have a Match by Emma Lordyou have a match

This is Lord’s sophomore novel and I have an ARC!

I would have been just as excited either way since I loved her debut so much but this book seems fun. It’s about a girl who finds out she has a sister she never knew about and I believe it’s set a summer camp.

I’ve been debating whether I should read this yet. I want more of Lords writing and it seems like a good summer book. Is August/September too early to read a book that comes out in January.

Publication Date: January 5th

The Project by Courtney Summers

I don’t know much about this book but I heard the world “cult” and I added it to my TBR. I still have yet to pick Sadie back up after putting it down late last year but I’m still excited for this.

Publication Date: February 2nd.

a pho love storyA Pho Love Story by Loan Le

I really want to make an effort to read more books by Asian authors with Asian characters and I am very interested in this book which lowkey reminds me of Tweet Cute, a book I loved.

Apparently teenagers from rival restaurant chains falling in love is my thinggg as this follows a girl and a boy from feuding Pho restaurants who navigate their new relationship amid their family drama.

Publication Date: February 9th.

She’s Too Pretty To Burn by Wendy Heard shes too pretty to burn

First of all this cover is *chefs kisses*. So pretty.

Second of all this book is inspired by The Picture of Dorian Gray and is pegged as “a sexy psychological thriller explores the intersections of love, art, danger, and power“.

As for the actual details of the plot: where’s it set? name of the characters? Yeah I don’t know anything about that but I don’t even need to.

Publication Date: March 30th.

She Drives Me Crazy by Kelly Quindlen

Sapphic romance! Basketball player + Cheerleader. My heart is full. I am very happy this is exist. Once again I don’t know anymore of the finer details and once again I don’t care. This is all I need to know. It’s all I want to know. Please give me this now!!

Publication Date: April

So those are 6 books I’m looking forward to read next year. This isn’t even including sequels which I’m sure there will be a fair few of. God my wallet is crying already.

Has anybody else got an anticipated 2021 shelf up and running yet? Please say yes. Make me feel better.

If you have then I’d love to know what books are already on your list? And if not then I’d love to know when do you start thinking about the new year new releases?

Thanks so much for reading and stay safe!!

Elli xx
