Anticipated Releases of 2020 // October – November – December

Hi and howdy, welcome to my blog 🙂

I was procrastinating, I was kind of being lazy, ya know how it is, so I am very, very late with my fourth and final (thank god) list of anticipated releases for 2020 but here it is!!!!

I’m skipping my usual babbling cause this post needs to hurry up and get written. Also I have cramp in my knee and the sooner I can go sprawl on my bed the better lol

We Were Restless Things by Cole Nagamatsu

This book has been on my radar for months now for one reason and one reason only: this ridiculously pretty cover. I mean how dare a cover be this aesthetically pleasing.

As for the actually plot I don’t know much. Somebody died, drowned I think and … there’s magical realism and LGBT+ characters.

Sometimes you just need to be vain and judge a book by it’s cover and that’s what I plan to do with this one.

Rent a Boyfriend by Gloria Chao

FAKE DATING!!! FAKE!!! DATING!!! Can you hear me screaming right now? Because believe me when I say that I am screaming. There’s not enough fake dating books in the world.

This book follows a girl who … rents a boyfriend.Chloe Wang hires Drew Chan in hopes of impressing her traditional Asian parents so they’ll stop preassuring her to accept another guys proposal. But then, as all the best fake-dating stories go … they fall in love!

I am so incredibly excited to read this book. I’ve seen some people read this already and I was jealous.

Those Who Prey by Jennifer Moffat

Cults are becoming a pretty popular book topic at the minute and I am not complaining.

This book follows a girl called Emily whose Freshman year of college doesn’t go to plan when she becomes mixed up with The Kingdom, an exclusive on-campus group, that offers Emily everything she’s being missing out on, including a trip to Italy.

But the Italy trip doesn’t go as expected when Emily and her friends are stripped of thier passports and things become much more dangerous.

I’m so ready for a book about a cult, set in Italy no less.

Publication Date: November 10th 2020

The Cousins by Karen M. McManus

I have abolsolutely loved everything I’ve read by McManus so far and I’m expecting her newest release to be no different.

I don’t really know what this is about. I’ve gone and read over the synopsis again and yet I still don’t know how to describe it in my own words so I’m going into this one blind.

I have full faith in McManus though, I know she’s going to keep me guessing and most of all keep me entertained.

If I don’t get my hands on this edition though, the one that matches her other books I own, I will be sad.

Publication Date: December 3rd 2020

And so there we go. Those are my 4 most anticipated books for the final few months of 2020. There’s a definite difference in the number of books on this list compared to the others but oh well.

I’d love to know what releases you’re highly anticipating! Thanks so much for reading, stay safe!!
