Enemies to Lovers – #5OnMyTBR

Howdy and happy Monday!

Weekends are meant to be for chilling and relaxing but I do not feel chilled or relaxed. Ughhh the joys of new adulthood.😭😴

Anyways. It’s Monday which means it’s time for another round of #5OnMyTBR this week we’re talking all things Enemies to Lovers. This is one of my favourite tropes, how could it not be, but I actually only have a few books on my TBR.

#5OnMyTBR is a bookish meme hosted by E. @Local Bee Hunter’s Nook (me!) and you can learn more about it here or in the post announcing it. It occurs every Monday when we post about 5 books on our TBR.

Today Tonight Tomorrow by Rachel Lynn Solomon

This has the bluest book cover ever and I love it.

Today Tonight Tomorrow follows Rowan and Neil who have been rivals for all of high school. But when Neil wins Valedictorian Rowan only has one last chance to beat him one last time: win the senior class game called Howl.

After learning that a group of seniors are out to sabotage them Rowan and Neil begrudgingly team up. As the game takes them all over Seattle they learn so much more about each other and FEELINGS HAPPEN!! Obviously

This seems like a fun one.

Tweet Cute by Emma Lord

Does this count? I’ve already read it when I got an ARC last year but I want to read it again so it’s technically still on my TBR. For the sake of my sanity I’m saying it counts.

This book has been super popular this year but in case you don’t know Tweet Cute follows Jack and Pepper. When Peppers big chain family grilled-cheese restaurant are accused of stealing a recipes from Jacks small family Deli, the pair unknowingly get into a Twitter War. They’re also growing closer at school organising. And are anonymously chatting online.

I loved this book the first time I read it. I’m gonna love it when I read it again.

Fake It Till You Break It by Jenn P. Nguyen

Not only is this enemies/rivals but it’s CHILDHOOD rivals. That just adds to the drama and the angst.

Mia and Jake’s mothers are best friends and so because of this the two have endured countless summers and Sunday brunches together. Their mums are convinced they would make the perfect couple but they definitely don’t agree.

When Mia and Jake get fed up of their parents meddling they decide to fake date to show they’re parents how terrible they’d be together. But then … maybe they don’t hate each other as much as they both thought.

Any Way the Wind Blows by Rainbow Rowell

THE TRILOGY STARTED AS ENEMIES TO LOVERS SO IT COUNTSSSSS!!!!! I’m really clutching at straws here. Can you tell?

This series starts with Baz being the Draco to Simon’s Harry. Simons has spent all his time convinced Baz is out to destroy him meanwhile Baz has been pining for years.

I’ve read the first and second books and really loved them so now I’m just waiting on the third and final novel to come out next year.

Yes I was too lazy to find the recent cover reveal. Don’t judge.

And so there we go. This was actually a hard one this week. I’d very much appreciate reccomendations because like I said this is an A+ trope and I need more of it in my life.

  1. Enemies to lovers is one of my favourite tropes, too!! Unfortunately, I haven’t read many books with it, so I’m glad you put this list together. Tweet Cute reminds me of You’ve Got Mail, which is one of my favourite movies, so I’ll definitely check it out! Fake It Till You Break It sounds amazing, too.
