Hi, hey, hello and welcome so my blog 🙂
First thing first: thank you so much for 300 followers. It’s been a loongg week of exams and stressing over my driving lessons but seeing that really put a smile on my face 🖤🖤
Second thing second: it’s nearly the end of the year which can only mean it’s time to do The End of the Year Tag! I did this tag last year and it was a fun one to do so even though I wasn’t tagged this time around, I’m still doing it.
Are there any books you started this year that you need to finish?
Normally when I DNF books then that’s me finished with them for good but this year I have two books I’ve DNF-ed but do have every intention of finishing, hopefully by the end of the year.
I read the first couple of chapters of Loveless by Alice Oseman a couple of months ago just as a book-slump started so I put it down to give myself a fair chance of liking it.
And the second book I started but haven’t finished yet is The Roommate by Rosie Danan. I’m over halfway through this one but after weeks of not picking it up I took it off my currently-reading shelf more for my own sanity then anything else. Hopefully I’ll find some motivation and finish it sooner rather then later.
Do you have an autumnal book to transition into the end of the year?
This year I’ve been reading a bunch of fantasy like The Guinevere Deception by Kiersten White and Legendborn by Tracy Deonn which both just so happen to be re-imaginings of King Arthur legends.
I’ve also noticed that a lot of the books on my unofficial TBR this month are books I was meant to read last month in October lol.
Is there a new release you’re still waiting for?
Waiting to come out? No I don’t think so, maybe The Cousins by Karen M. Mcmanus but I’m not really in any rush to get to that one.
As for 2020 releases that are already out but I haven’t got around to reading yet … yeah there’s a lot like Rent a Boyfriend by Gloria Chao, Verona Comics by Jennifer Dugan and Deadly Education by Naomi Nakovic. Two of these are on my Christmas list so hopefully I can fit them in before the end of the year.
What are 3 books you want to read before the end of the year?
I’m really happy with the books I’ve read this year. I crossed a lot of “must-read” books off my TBR this year so I can only come up with two: Wicked Fox by Kat Cho, this has been on a fair few TBRs since I got the e-book, and Only Ashes Remain by Rebecca Shaeffer, another that I’ve said I’ll read way too many times.
Is there a book you think could still shock you and become your favourite book of the year?
Probably not. I’ll be pleasantly surprised if one does though.
Have you already started making reading plans for 2021?
Definitely! I’ve got a list of 2021 releases I want to read as well as sequels and books that have been on my shelf forever that I need to read before moving to England for Uni.
On one hand I’m thrilled this year is almost over but on the other hand I am terrified for what’s to come!
I’m not tagging anyone because I wasn’t tagged but obviously if you want to do it then feel free. Thanks so much for read, and thank you again for 300 followers!
