Howdy. Welcome to my blog. Today I am procrastinating. 👏Yay!👏 Instead of studying for my two exams, I’m going to be talking about the ARCs I currently need to read.
I actually did a post similar this last year and none of them are on my ARC shelf anymore so it seems like naming and shaming myself works.
Kingdom of the Wicked by Kerri Maniscalco

I’ve been saying I’m going to start this book for days now, its open to the first page on my Kindle and everything but I haven’t had time.
This book is the first of new series following two persecuted twin witches, Emilia and Vittoria. When Vittoria is brutally murdered Emilia seeks vengeance on the killer. Then Emilia meets Wrath, a prince of hell tasked with solving a series of murders and … I’m guessing the two team up??
I didn’t know what to expect when I requested this book. I saw a pretty cover and a plot about witches and said “yes please!”. I’ve since learnt this is by the author of Stalking Jack the Ripper, a series I haven’t read but am interested in, and I’ve seen nothing but good reviews.
You Have a Match by Emma Lord

Emma Lord has the possibility of becoming one of my favourite authors and I’m so happy to have received an ARC of her second book, especially after loving her debut Tweet Cute so much.
You Have a Match follows a girl called Abby who signs up for a DNA service. She never expected to find anything she didn’t already know and so it comes as a shock when she discovers she has an older sister, Instagram famous Savannah Tully whose only a year older.
I wanted to read this back in summer as this is set at a summer-camp but time got away from me, as always.
The Bad Boy and the Tomboy by Nicole Nwosu
Listen. I used to steer well clear from Wattpad published books but I read one last year and I enjoyed it. Was it the best book in the world? No. Did I roll my eyes a whole lot while reading? Definitely. But overall I ended up enjoying it, clichés and wierd dialogue and all.
I’m kind of saving this for when I need a “pallet” cleaner of sorts. Something fun and easy but I will hopefully be trying it out soon.
Payback by Kristen Simmons

Yayy!! I got an ARC for the final book in this series. I’ve been lucky and fortunate enough to receive an advance copy for each book in the Vale Hall series which is about a small boarding school for teenage con artists.
I’ve really enjoyed the two previous books in this series; the characters, the plot, the mystery aspects, even the boarding school setting.
I remember I liked the ending of Scammed, the second book in the series, but I can’t actually remember what happened besides one characters arc so I’m considering a quick re-read.
Forever mad about the cover change for this series btw.
Yesterday is History by Kosoko Jackson
This book sounds so cool!!! A guy, Andre, get’s a liver transplant and with that new liver he gets the ability time-travel!!
Besides from this and the fact that it’s an LGBT+ novel I don’t know much else about this, and I don’t really want to. I’m totally happy going into this one semi-blind but I am hoping it’s a good one.

And so those are the ARCs currently sitting on my virtual shelf. I’d love to know what ARCs are on your TBR.
Thanks so much for reading and stay safe!
i also have like 7 ARCs i need to catch up on!! thankfully, *most* of them publish in feb/march 2021, so i’ll be able to review them in time!! i also received a copy of you have a match, and i’m so excited to read it!! have you read it yet? ❤

Also yessss, I haven’t read You Have a Match yet but I loved Lords first book, Tweet Cute, and I’m kind of hoping to read it this month, before the new year. Crossing all my fingers it’s a good book.
