Series, series, and maybe some more series // March TBR

Hi 😊

Happy March, how the hell are we back here already?? I feel like this is round about when things started going from bad to worse last year so let’s all just cross our fingers and pray to whatever it is we believe in.

Ok now that that’s done and dusted let’s talk about what I’m planning on reading over the next couple of weeks. February was kind of a dud month when it came to books. I read more then I was expecting too but the quality really wasn’t up there. I’m hoping for better this March!

A Better Bad Idea by Laurie Devore – First up we have a repeat offender. I was meant to read this last month but got distracted. I’m not mad about it though, I managed to get ahead on a couple other ARCs.

I’m still not totally sure what this book is about. It’s pitched as The End of the F*cking World meets Sadie, a TV show I haven’t watched and a book I had to put down because of a slump.

It’s fine. I don’t need to know what it’s about I’m just hoping I enjoy it.

Seige & Storm and hopefully also Ruin & Rising by Leigh Bardugo – The teaser trailer for the Netflix series dropped and I freaked! It looks so bloody good!!!

But it also reminded me that I haven’t finished the trilogy and I need to get on that and so I re-read Shadow & Bone in just over 24 hours and now it’s time to move on to the other two books.

I’m really excited to crack on with this series. I love Alina so much and I’m looking forward to reading this before watching the show!!

Escaping From Houdini by Kerri Mansicalco – This month I’m hoping to also continue on with the Stalking Jack the Ripper series by reading the third book and maybe also the novella. I doubt I’ll be able to finish the full series but if I can then even better.

I’ve been liking this series for the most part, mainly for my dude 🖤Thomas Cresswell🖤 but I am hoping it get’s better.

Fingers crossed for more Thomas and Audrey romance, less “I’m not like other girls” and I’d love if Audreys cousin shows up because for some reason I like her.

Chain of Iron by Cassandra Claire – Am I emotionally ready to read this book? Nope, definitely not. Am I going to start reading this the minute my Easter break starts? You bet ya.

I contemplated re-reading Chain of Gold beforehand but sadly with school and life and everything else I want to read this month I don’t have time. However Christina aka Pollsandbananasbooks on YouTube posted a recap of sorts for TID and CoG. It was hilarious and also helped refresh everything so if you’ve got a terrible memory like me go and watch it!! Link HERE.

The likelihood of me being able to slip in even one more book into this already stacked month is ridiculous. I mean it’s the end of the term which means exams, I’ve still got to send in some Uni assessment things, I’ve got my driving test coming up and my dads coming home but ….

I’d also like to try and read Take a Hint, Dani Brown by Talia Hibbert.

There’s a lot of fantasy going on this month so I think this will be a quick, easy and fun read to mix things up slightly. I flew through the first book so hopefully the same thing happens with the sequel.

Plot wise I think this is friends to lover? Or maybe friends with benefits to lovers? I’m unsure exactly but those tropes sound familiar. Either way hopefully I can squeeze it in.

And so there we have my March TBR. I’m really looking forward to this month. How I’m going to read all of these I don’t know. Like I said March is shaping up to be a busy and kind of stressful month but I’m sure it’ll be fine.

I’d love to know what you’re thinking of reading this month, what you’re thoughts and feelings are on any of these books and also, have you seen the Shadow & Bone teaser yet and did you freak out too?? Thanks for reading, stay safe.

Elli xx
