Howdy and happy Friday!!
I am back for another week of Let’s Talk Bookish. I really enjoyed doing this last week and it’s definitely something I want to continue on with. This weeks topic is: Qualities of a book boyfriend/girlfriend!
Let’s Talk Bookish is a is a weekly meme hosted by Rukky @ Eternity Books and Dani @ Literary Lion, where we discuss certain topics, share our opinions, and spread the love by visiting each other’s posts.
Do you have any book boyfriends/girlfriends?
Last year the title of “bookish boyfriend” went to Adrian Everheart from the Renegades trilogy by Marissa Meyer. Out of all the books I read last year, he was the one character that stuck with me over all the rest.
Obviously we’re still only early on in the year but as of right now I’ve got a book crush on Thomas Cresswell from Stalking Jack the Ripper by Kerri Manisculco. I am not ashamed to say that he’s the main reason I’m continuing on with the series.
What makes you fall in love with them?
I have a think for bad boys with a soft side, the more sarcastic and snarky the better. Adrian Everheart is clearly the exception to this rule because he’s the absolute sweetest but yeah, I like arseholes with a heart of actual gold.
This may be veering off course slightly but I also love it when the bad boys have a British accent which is weird because I’M LITERALLY BRITISH!! Why do I get so hyped over an accent that I, and everyone I know, also have?
I mean, British accents aren’t even that great. We all talk super dodgy. I don’t know its a mystery to me …
Is there anything all your favorite book boyfriends/girlfriends have in common?
Brown hair? Same goes for my celeb crushes though.
To be honest, I think what truly makes me fall in love with them is how much they love their love interest. That’s what they all have in common. I’m weak for a sarcastic character who cares.
Do you prefer they come from certain genres?
No not really. I think there’s a high chance of me falling in love with a character if they’re part of a series, obviously because theres more books and it’s typically fantasy that have multiple boos but no, other then that the genre doesn’t really come into play for me.

I had a lot of fun with this one again. I’m curious to hear what other people’s bookish crushes are.
I also want an answer to why I get so hyped for a fictional British accent when I actually have ne and know that in real life we all talk like crap. Somebody give me answers so I can sleep at night. I beg.
Thanks for reading :)))
