✨3 Years of Blogging✨- Meet the Blogger Tag!

Howdy 😊

It was my 3 year blogging anniversary the other day!! I have loved every minute of having this blog, being able to rant into the void that is the internet and interact with people who have the same obsession as me🖤🖤🖤

To celebrate I thought I’d do the Meet the Blogger Tag which I was kindly tagged in by Books by Maeve. I’ve tried and failed to write this a few times recently but I’ve had 0 motivation to do anything recently which has been fun (not).

  • Nominated bloggers can nominate ten other bloggers.
  • Use the same questions from the tag.
  • Tag the original creator (Bibliomavens) and the blogger who tagged you

Who is your all-time favourite book character?

I could try and sit here and think really hard over who exactly is my favourite book character but that would be a waste of my time and yours. I am ride or die for Nico di Angelo.

Always have been, always will be.

If you were stranded on a desert island, which book would you take with you? (Survival books do not count)

I was asked this book in a tag before and my answer stays the same: Empire of Storms by Sarah J. Maas. I just feel like that’s the only way I’m going to get around to finally reading this one.

What’s your most unpopular book opinion?

To be honest, I’m pretty agreeable with most things and don’t think I have many, if any, unpopular opinions. The closest unpopular opinions I can think of are:

I’m on the “it’s ok to dog-ear pages” side now. Didn’t use to be, but nowadays I really don’t care. I also am now very much team e-book when I used to be all “why not spend a couple more euros and get a physical copy”. It’s cause it’s cheaper, saves space and you don’t have to wait for delivery babe!

What’s your weirdest bookish habit?

I sometimes find that I pick my next read, or even my whole TBR, based off the colour of the book covers.

Like I try and make it my read books look aesthetically pleasing when it shows up on Goodreads which is not a good way to pick your TBR but I find myself stuck with this need to make them look good together and will genuinely get anxious over it.

This really weird, anxiety inducing, habit comes and goes. I much prefer it when it’s gone.

What character would you bring to a family event as your fake partner?

I recently read The Inheritance Games and The Hawthorne Legacy by Jennifer Lynn Barnes and despite which way I’m leaning with the boys in the love-triangle, one thing I know for sure is that Xander is the superior Hawthorne brother.

He is a walking ball of sunshine crossed with a genius golden retriever. I would die for him. Also he has experience in the fake-dating department so he knows how to fake it til ya make it.

What made you decide to start a book blog?

None of my friends are book nerds. I’ve managed to convert one of my friends but even then his and my reading tastes don’t really line up so I have nobody to rant or share my excitement with. If I started freaking out to my friends about a cover reveal or something, they just wouldn’t get it.

I actually had a book blog a couple of years ago but it was cringe and I lost my love for it. I went about a year before deciding to try again and I’m having a great time.

What about reading and books do you love the most?

It just makes me happy which is a stupid reason but there it is. Like I genuinely enjoy everything about the “book community” from finding about new books, waiting for new releases, buying the books and of course reading them. I don’t have reasons why this is my thing, but this is what the universe decided would make me happy inside.

What is your field of study/desired profession/current profession?

I’m going to uni to study english and creative writing with hopes of working in publishing in the future and maybe even becoming an author myself if only I can ever start even the damn outlining process. I wouldn’t mind becoming an English teacher or something like that though.

What are some book recommendations that became your favourites/obsessions?

Some online friends pushed me to finally read Six of Crows by Leigh Bardugo and thank god they did because I love those books so much! Other then that I don’t have any. I’m the recommender, not the recommendie sadly.

What is the book you shove down everyone’s throat?

I have so many it’s not even funny but to save time let’s go with anything by Jennifer Lynn Barnes or Erin Hahn and The Exact Opposite of Okay by Laura Steven.

Thanks so much to Maeve for tagging me. I tag: Susana // Cherelle // Rania

  1. “had a book blog a couple of years ago but it was cringe” is the most relatable book blogging thing I have ever read. I had two! One was cringe, the other was just devoid of personality. And happy blogoversary!

  2. Happy 3 year blogoversary!! ❤ Three years is such a long time but I think it might get three for me too? *lol* That tag was super interesting and I loved your answers! I need to find out more about "The Inheritance Games" now. XD

    1. Thank you :)) I loved The Inheritance Games but I admit I might be biased cause I love the author so much. If you’ve seen the movie Knives Out it’s got a similair plot and vibe and it’s a lot of fun!!
