My most anticipated releases of 2021 // October, November & December

Helloo, happy Wednesday :))

I do not want to go to work. Like I really don’t want to go to work tonight. I want to curl up in bed with a nice cup of tea or a glass of lemonade and read or watch telly. Instead I’ll be trying to keep my sanity at “pound a pint” night.

Until then though, I’m clinging onto what little time I have before I have to get ready and go out into the cold, and thought I’d talk a little about my last batch of anticipated releases for 2021.

Kingdom of the Cursed by Kerri Maniscalco

It feels like only yesterday I read Kingdom of the Wicked. I had little to no expectations for this series but ended up loving it a whole lot.

While I haven’t had much look when it comes to enjoying Maniscalco’s other “Jack the Ripper” series (I’m only carrying on for Thomas), I really loved the characters and atmosphere of this duology and can’t wait to read the sequel.

Release Date: October 26th

Our Violent Ends by Chloe Gong

I got an ARC. I repeat: I GOT ACCEPTED FOR A FREAKING ARC!!!!! On the same day as my first day of uni but I think we can all guess what was the most important thing that happened that day.

These Violent Delights was such a great book which I finally got around to reading this past summer. I loved how the Romeo & Juliet influences were clear yet it still held up on it’s own. The very thought of what’s going to go down in this sequel gives me anxiety.

Release Date: November 16th

The Coldest Touch by Isabel Sterling

Vampires are still getting the hype and come-back they deserve and I’m excited to see what Isabel Sterling does with them. I’ve wanted to read more from this author since reading the “These Witches Don’t Burn” duology.

This book has a really cool plot. One character is cursed to forsee her loved ones deaths whenever she touches them, the other one is already dead because she’s a vampire. I don’t want to know more then that but I’m thinking a romance sparks between the two and I’m curious to see how that works.

Release Date: December 7th

If This Get’s Out by Sophie Gonzales & Cale Dietrich

So I’ve already read and loved this book but I’m including it on my “most anticipated” list, 1) to draw more attention to it because it’s really worth the read, and 2) I’m looking forward to seeing other people’s reaction to this novel.

That’s the curse of reading ARCS so far in advance, you have to wait ages for people to jump aboard the hype train.

This book follows two members of a popular boyband who fall for each other and have to contend with their millions of fans, controlling managment team aswell as their own things such as coming to terms with thier sexuality and complicated parental relationships. 10/10 you should read.

Release Date: December 7th

(my usual post ender flower thing isn’t loading and I’m too lazy to fix the problem)

So those were my last crop of 2021 anticipated releases. There always seems to be a lot less in the final few months of the year then the start, or they’re mostly sequels.

I’d love to know what new upcoming releases you’re really excited for. Thanks for reading :))

(also .. Elli coming from the future here … work wasn’t as terrible as I was expecting it to be lol)

Elli xx
