My favourite book covers of 2021!

Helloo πŸ‘‹

I go home today!!!!! As you’re reading this I’ve either just got off the plane or am already at home being smothered in love by my dogs. I can’t wait.

In the mean time, I’m at my dads house enjoying the house to myself before my little brother and sister come home and the peace ends. While I’m doing nothing else but watching Money Heist, I figured I’d talk a little about my favourite book covers from this year.

Last Night at the Telegraph Club by Melinda Lo

The colours and overall design of this cover are such a vibe.

The One’s We’re Meant to Find by Joan He

I have mixed feelings about the book itself, but definitely not about the cover. Bow-down before this absolute masterpiece.

House of Hollow by Krystal Sutherland

I would happily have this book tattooed on my body. Just my entire back being this book cover.

Lore by Alexandra Bracken

I really like how classic and refined this cover is. The white marble medusa is so stark and appealing.

Six Crimson Cranes by Elizabeth Lim

I keep seeing the hardcover in Waterstones and it’s so pretty. Actually thought this was a sequel but now I’ve just found out it’s the first in a series … I might have to invest.Β

In Deep Waters by F.T Lukens

This one is just super pretty. I bought a physical copy the other day and it’s even prettier in real life sat on my windowsill which now doubles as my bookshelf.

You’ve Reached Sam by Dustin Thao

If you add cherry blossoms to something it instantly becomes a favourite. Cherry blossoms are literally so pretty

The Wild Ones by Nafiza Azad

This cover calms me. Waters my crops. Clears my skin. Etc.

Afterlove by Tanya Byrne

And here we have yet another cover I would have permanently inked onto my body. I love all the shades of pinks with the outline illustration.

So those are my favourite covers of the year. To be honest there’s probably a couple more but my alarms set for 4am so I really need to try and sleep.

*literally typed that and then spent half an hour on tik-tok. this is why i have constant headaches from sleep deprivation :I*

If you’ve read any of these I’d of course love to hear your thoughts and feelings, as well as what some of your favourite covers of the year were. Thanks for reading :))

  1. “Last Night at the Telegraph Club” is such a great cover! It really gives me the vibe too! *lol* I loved the cover of “You’ve reached Sam” but unfortunatly the book itself only got 3 paws from me. XD And haha! I recently bought “Afterlove” because I love the cover and the story sounds amazing. You put together a great collection of beautiful covers. ❀
