My most anticipated releases of 2021 // October, November & December

Helloo, happy Wednesday :))

I do not want to go to work. Like I really don’t want to go to work tonight. I want to curl up in bed with a nice cup of tea or a glass of lemonade and read or watch telly. Instead I’ll be trying to keep my sanity at “pound a pint” night.

Until then though, I’m clinging onto what little time I have before I have to get ready and go out into the cold, and thought I’d talk a little about my last batch of anticipated releases for 2021.

October

Kingdom of the Cursed by Kerri Maniscalco

It feels like only yesterday I read Kingdom of the Wicked. I had little to no expectations for this series but ended up loving it a whole lot.

While I haven’t had much look when it comes to enjoying Maniscalco’s other “Jack the Ripper” series (I’m only carrying on for Thomas), I really loved the characters and atmosphere of this duology and can’t wait to read the sequel.

Release Date: October 26th

ARC Review: Never Saw You Coming by Erin Hahn

Publication Date: September 7th

Raised by conservative parents, 18-year-old Meg Hennessey just found out her entire childhood was a lie. Instead of taking a gap year before college to find herself, she ends up traveling north to meet what’s left of the family she never knew existed.

While there, she meets Micah Allen, a former pastor’s kid whose dad ended up in prison, leaving Micah with his own complicated relationship about the church. The clock is ticking on Pastor Allen’s probation hearing and Micah, now 19, feels the pressure to forgive – even when he can’t possibly forget.

As Meg and Micah grow closer, they are confronted with the heavy flutterings of first love and all the complications it brings. Together, they must navigate the sometimes-painful process of cutting ties with childhood beliefs as they build toward something truer and straight from the heart.

My most anticipated releases of 2021 // April, May & June

Helloooo and howdy!!

As it currently stands I have not yet read any of the books that I featured on my list of anticipated releases for January, February & March but is that going to stop me from talking about more upcoming releases?

I’m actually really excited about the next three months worth of releases. There’s a lot more on here then originally expected, I kind of blanked on a few release dates and didn’t realise they were right around the corner. If I tried I could probably include a few more to be honest.

April

In Deep Waters by F.T Lukens

I’ve recently realised that I’ve never read a book about pirates. This is a crime! I plan to amend this as soon as possible, starting with reading In Deep Waters which follows a young prince who must rely on on a mysterious stranger when he’s kidnapped.

This seems to me like it’s going to be the perfect historical adventure novel with a possible LGBT+ romance at the helm.

I’m trying to not buy many physical books as I’m moving later on in the year but I may have to make an exception for THIS cover!!!

Release Date: April 20th

Blog, book haul

Despite trying to widdle down my TBR, I bought some more books! // Book Haul

Hello and howdy:)

Should I be paying attention to my English class right now? Maybe, but it’s technically English as a second language and I’m incredibly bored. I’m just waiting for my teacher to do rollcall so I can go make myself another cup of tea.

Until then though, now seems like the perfect time to talk about some of the books I’ve purchased recently.

Over the past month I’ve bought myself five physical books and I’ve officially had to expand onto another shelf in my room to accommodate the new additions, and I also got a total bargain on an e-book of bind up of a series I’ve really been interested in reading lately.

Grown by Tiffany D. Jackson – I have seen nothing but high praise for this book and I am in love with the cover, so much so that it was featured on my “favourite book covers of 2020” list and so I’m hoping I feel the same about the insides.

This book follows an aspiring singer called Enchanted who gets mixed up with a legendary producer with a dark side called Korey Fields. When Korey turns up dead all signs point to Enchanted.

I’m very excited about this one!

My most anticipated releases of 2021 // January, February & March

Helloooo, welcome to my blog 🙂

It’s that time of year again where I share my most anticipated releases for the coming year. Once again I’m going to be sharing this list every three months starting off with January, February and March.

In past years I’ve talked about every single book that’s grabbed my attention even just slightly, this time around I’m going to try and narrow that to books I actually foresee myself reading. I want to have read most of these by December so I think the less books I talk about the better.

January

Lore by Alexandra Bracken

I’ve seen this be pegged as “Percy Jackson meets the Hunger Games” but I became even more interested in reading this after I read a chapter sampler.

The premise of this book is that every couple of years the Agon begins; the Greek Gods become mortal and hunted. Whoever kills them gains their powers and immortality, at least for the next seven years.

I haven’t read anything else from Bracken since The Darkest minds so I’m interested in reading this one.

Release Date: January 6th

The Girls I’ve Been by Tess Sharpe

Apparently this is being adapted into a film starring Millie Bobby Brown, I didn’t know this before adding it to my TBR. I was actually interested in this because of the cover. It’s super simple but I really like the design.

This book is about a con artist who is trying to live a normal life but she’s having a really bad day. Her ex walks in on her and her girlfriend and then, to make matters worse, she’s kidnapped during a bank heist.

LGBT+ characters anda bank heist. I’m ready for this.

Release Date: January 26th
