Book adaptations I want but I’m scared for.

Hi, hey, hello and happy Tuesday πŸ™‚

So, today is Tuesday and usually that means another week of Top 5 Tuesday however this weeks topic is all about books with creepy atmospheres and … I was struggling. Most of the books that came to mind I’d already mentioned in a recent Spooky Reading Recommendation post and I didn’t just want to repeat myself.

And so today, instead, I’m going to be chatting a little on my thoughts on some Book To Move Adaptations! Some of these are actually in development and some are just my wishful thinking. This post is 100% inspired by the video PolandbananaBOOKS did recently which you can watch here πŸ™‚

Shadow & Bone

So this is the only adaption on this list that I know for sure is 100% happening. As most people know this much beloved book is being adapted by Netflix and I’m excited … but also scared.

I’m excited because I’m in constant need for new television content and what I’ve read of the Grisha universe so far I have loved, especially the characters. However I’m worried about the format of the show. This first season is said to encompass both the Shadow and Bone trilogy aswell as parts of the Six of Crow duology and I just don’t know how that’s going to mesh.

I’ve seen some theories that season 1 is going to focus mainly on Shadow and Bone but also maybe follow the rise of Kaz and Inej before the full Six of Crows plot which in my opinion makes sense, especially with what characters have been announced. September Wrap Up

Hi, hey, hello and happy October. It’s officially spooky season!

8585

You could say I’ve started celebrating Halloween early because this month I more or less exclusively read ghost stories … and fanfiction.

September was a kind of crappy reading month for me but I’m blaming it on the whole Back to School season and me not yet learning how to successfully monopolise my time. Also. I’ve been playing a whole lot Sims and instead of doing anything productive, as well as recently starting to watch It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia which I’m officially hooked on so … πŸ™‚ Continue reading “September Wrap Up”

The “Get to Know Me” Book Tag // My 1 Year Blogger-versary!!!

Hi, hello and welcome to my blog!

Today is a day of celebration. It’s been a whole year since I started this blog.

It’s my bloggerversary and I’m probably spelling that extremely wrong but I feel like terrible spelling is a staple of my blogposts. To celebrate it being a year of me being annoying as hell I decided to do the “Get to know me” Book Tag because in the beginning I never really talked about myself because anxiety πŸ™‚

A little bit about me

My names Elli. I’m 17 and originally from East Yorkshire with the accent to prove it but I’ve been living in Spain since I was ten (although I do not have the tan to prove that). This September I start the Spanish equivalent of 6th form and I am shitting myself.

I have three siblings, two brothers and a sister, all younger, two of which live back in the UK. I also have three pets who I would die for: Fudge, Poppet and Kit-Kat.

And now that you’ve been blessed with these incredible and majestic photos let’s jump into the tag: Continue reading “The “Get to Know Me” Book Tag // My 1 Year Blogger-versary!!!”

Hello and happy Wednesday!

Todays topic is Rainy Day reads and it’s annoying how perfect this topic fits with the weather here in Spain cause it’s been raining all weekend.

There are three good things about rainy days: The after smell, P.E getting cancelled, and having an excuse to stay in all day and read.

All weekly topics can be found HERE.

πŸŽ…πŸŽ„The Christmas Song Book TagπŸŽ„πŸŽ…

large (1)

In full disclosure, the past few years I have been kind of a Christmas scrooge. I don’t like the attention all being on me and also there’s so many phone calls. I love my family but talking to them all and arranging skype with my dad and siblings is stressful.

This year however, I was the first one to put Christmas songs on and I’ve been having a blast eating chocolate everyday (whoever invented advent calendars is a GOD) and counting down the days till exams are over and I can have three weeks to read freely. And so what better festive tag then the Christmas song tag.

πŸ‚πŸFall Bookish Bingo Wrap UpπŸπŸ‚

Autumn is out and Winter is in!

*Insert Winter is coming GIF I’m too tired to look for*Β

This past fall I took part in the Fall Bookish Bingo by Pretty Deadly Reviews and I had a lot of fun trying to complete the challenges, of which I completed ten. I would have liked to accomplish more but with school and other books that didn’t fit the challenges I’m still quite proud of what I read.

And suddenly it’s November. Seriously how did this happen? It feels like it as April two weeks ago!

Either way I read six books, one graphic novel and I DNF-ed a book this month. I actually didn’t I was going to get much read this month due to school and also it seemed to be pretty slow going at first so I’m pretty happy with how I did. Continue reading “πŸ‘» October Wrap Up! πŸ‘»”
