I finally read some decent books for Uni // February Wrap Up

Hello and howdy.

I have some exciting news to share today … I got accepted onto the study abroad programme for next semester!!! I had the first meeting about it yesterday and sure I signed up for this but it’s still not fully set in that I’ll be going to freaking America in a couple of months! What the Hell!!

With this though comes a lot more stuff to add to my to-do-list which is why I’m in full blown productivity mode right now (please ignore the fact that I still didn’t get out of bed til noon). As usual though, I’m kicking off with some work that doesn’t feel like work cause I enjoy it so much: sharing my February wrap up!

February ended up being a much better reading month then I though. I didn’t accomplish my mission of reading “all the romance” like I said in my TBR, but I did read 7 and a bit books this month which I’m really happy about!

Act Your Age, Eve Brown by Talia Hibbert – I was so annoyed with myself that I wasn’t able to squeeze this last book into 2021 but it’s okay now because I’ve done it. I’ve completed the Brown Sisters Trilogy!! This entire series was a banger, but this third book in particular was probably my favourite of the three. It was just so much fun! I genuinely don’t think I’ve ever laughed out loud at a book so much, not even just from the witty back and forth dialogue but actual events that take place had me in stitches. I was in a bit of a slump at the start of the month but this was exactly what I needed.

One Last Stop by Casey McQuiston – And here we have another book I’m so happy to finally say I’ve read! I ordered this book last year, around the time of it’s release, but it just never came and my order ended up being cancelled. It took me a while to read this, I’m gonna blame the slump, but I did really enjoy it. As hard as I tried I did end up comparing it to Red, White and Royal Blue, I think that’s just inevitable. It has the same fun and addictive writing style but is a bit slower and requires a bit more patience. The found family aspects were my favourite thing about this, so fun and wholesome. I wrote an entire review if you’d like to check out my full thoughts, but now I’m counting down the days til McQuiston’s YA debut.

A pretty dull month // February Wrap Up

Hi, happy Friday WandaVision day!!! Kind of heartbroken today’s the last episode but also hyped because it means it’s almost time for The Falcon and the Winter Soldier series. I apologise in advance for the person I’m going to become when this show is released.

Before I start my nerdy ramblings, today I’m going to be talking about everything I read in February. I read way more then I was expecting but I didn’t really love anything. There was lot’s of 3 stars, so many in a row infact that I started thinking I was the problem.

Thankfully I had fanfiction to keep me entertained. I’m in the midst of a new “fandom obsession” at the minute so I’ve been reading a lotttt of fanfiction. It’ll wear off soon enough so right now I’m just riding it out and my sleep schedule is the one suffering.

February Wrap Up

Hi, hey hello and welcome to my blog!

February is over. We’ve survived somehow. Well done to us is all I can say. Today I’m going to be wrapping up and talking all about the books I read in February.

I have absolutely nothing of import or interest to say because it’s nearly midnight and I am hungry so I’m just going to jump right on with my wrap up 🙂

Scammed by Kristen Simmons

The first thing I completed this month was an ARC which I’m thrilled about because I’m trying to read at least one ARC a month. Scammed is the sequel to last years The Decievers which I enjoyed however I liked book 2 a lot more.

I was wary going into this because I couldn’t remember much from the previous novel however the first few chapters of this book did a great job at catching me up to speed, jogging my memory and then wasted no time in getting straight into the action which I thought was missing from the first book.

This series follows a girl who attends a super elite boarding school for con artists and in exchange for this opportunity and future college tuition and overall life success Brynn has to put her conning skills to the work for the owner/funder/headmaster? of the school but of course, she get’s into a more then she ever thought she could handle.

February Wrap Up

Time is fleeting, the end of term is fast approaching and I am panicking 😀

Happy not February! Honestly it’s a miracle I didn’t die this past month. I ate 2 month out of date food, went alone to meet distant relatives when I didn’t even know what they looked like and flew to England all by myself.

I also watched and completed The Umbrella Academy, and I’m still recovering. In-between all of that though I managed to read a whole lot.

I completed 8 books and DNF-ed 1. I also did really well at following my TBR! Continue reading “February Wrap Up”
