I’m trash so I re-read Ghosts of the Shadow Market☺

Hi. I’m trash. Welcome to my blog.

So first things first: Its 1:30 am right now so apologies in advance for any possible spelling mistakes. My ability to write coherently is shabby at the best of times let alone in the middle of the night.

GSM_cover_01I read Chain of Gold a few weeks back and now I’m back in my Shadowhunter obsessed ways. On some level I knew this was going to happen but I didn’t expect it to hit me this hard. So to feed my obsession I have decided to re-read some of the Shadowhunter novella bind ups.

I’m doing this for two reasons: 1) The novellas feature characters from all current series especially The Last Hours, and 2) my next option is re-reading The Mortal Instruments which I lowkey don’t want to do because it’s so long and that series high-key annoys and frustrates me 🙂

As you can see I decided to start my novella re-read with the Ghosts of the Shadow Market bind up. I started with this solely because it features my man Brother Zachariah who I love dearly. Continue reading “I’m trash so I re-read Ghosts of the Shadow Market☺”

Did I Read my Most Anticipated Reads of 2019?

Hi, hey, hello and welcome to my blog 🙂

So today I thought we’d take a walk down memory lane and have a look to see if I read my Most Anticipated 2019 releases and my Intriguing Releases of 2019 which was a list of books I knew next to nothing about but the covers or a quick glance over the synopsis had me interested.

I’m looking forward to seeing what I thought and if I even still want to read some of them.

My 1st Readathon Experience // Reading-Rush Wrap Up

Hi! Welcome to my blog!

RR-full-deeplilacThis past week it was the Reading Rush Readathon and as you can probably guess by the very spoilery title, it was my first time participating in a Readathon. I had a great time this past week trying to read as much as I could.

My TBR included 5 books however I didn’t get to all of them. In fact I went completely off the tracks and picked up a book that wasn’t even on my TBR. Overall I completed 2 novellas and 2 1/2 books. Continue reading “My 1st Readathon Experience // Reading-Rush Wrap Up”

My Reading Rush TBR (failure is imminent)

Hi, hey, hello, welcome to my blog and Happy Reading Rush Week!!!

RR-full-deeplilac.png

I am late, very late, with this TBR, but it took me a while to decide if I was going to take part in the readathon and if I was going to share my TBR beforehand. But I figured why not. I’ve wanted to participate in a readathon for a while now, even including it on a recent post about nerd experiences, and I have literally nothing going on right now so it’s the perfect time.

The Reading Rush, previously known as Booktube-a-ton, runs from the 22nd (today) till the 28th of July. They also created a website this year to add each other, get badges and track your process. My profile is here if anyone wants to see how badly I’m probably failing 🙂

Challenges

  1. Read a book with purple on the cover
  2. Read a book in the same spot the entire time
  3. Read a book you meant to read last year
  4. Read an author’s first book
  5. Read a book with a non-human main character
  6. Pick a book that has five or more words in the title
  7. Read and watch a book to movie adaptation

I’m going to talk about what books I’m hoping to read this week and which challenges they correlate to. I’m not aiming to read 7 books but I do want to get to as many as possible.

The “I graduated high school” Book Haul!

Hello and happy whatever day of the week it is! (Its summer, I have no idea what day it is. I’m in constant limbo and it’s great).

Today I’m sharing my newest batch of books that I got. As the title might suggest I bought myself these books as a “well done for only having 1 mental breakdown this past school year and managing to graduate on time” gift to myself and I’m very excited with the five books that I bought!

Bookish Wishlist to help me survive.

Hello and happy Tuesday!

Yesterday I started back at school for the third term of my last year as a high school student … and I immediately started freaking out.

With only 9 weeks left at school and 9 weeks to make sure I get the grades to graduate, anxiety and self doubt have taken a hold of my brain.

And so I figured bribing myself into staying motivated and not having a breakdown would be a good idea and so I’ve made a wishlist of a few books I’m hoping to buy myself at the end of June, hopefully as a graduation present to myself!

December Wrap Up

I was just here, minding my own business, writing my favourite books of 2018 post, talking to Buddy the bearded dragon my brother got for Christmas and minding my own business when I realised it was the 30th of December!

When did this happen! How has the month gone by so fast!

I kid you not this wrap up is going to be a surprise for me too because this month was crazy with exams and I do not now what I did or did not read so … lets go!

Disappointing November Wrap Up

bg5

So November happened. I literally barely remember any of it. All I remember is the vague feeling of all consuming stress and panic.

I didn’t get to read much in November. I read about 3 books this month and 2 novellas so it wasnt terrible but still disappointing none the less.

I had a whole bunch of exams this month. I actually went through and counted and it turns out I had 8. And then I have between 6-9 more in the next two weeks. Kill. Me. Now. Continue reading “Disappointing November Wrap Up”
