My favourite authors are releasing new books in 2022. Yay!

Howdy, happy Monday.

Question: you ever have days where you just don’t feel much? Like you’re not exactly happy but you’re not sad either. You’re just floating on a cloud of “meh”. Anyone??

Well that’s how I’m feeling today so I figured I’d try and inject some positivety in my life by talking about new books coming out in 2022 by some of my favourite authors!!

Casey Mcquiston – I Kissed Sara Wheeler

Sure Casey McQuiston is the only author on this list where I’ve only read one of their books but we’re just going to ignore that. While I might not have yet read One Last Stop I just know I’m going to love it as much as Red, White and Royal Blue.

In 2022 McQuiston is not only releasing another book but she’s releasing her YA debut: I Kissed Sara Wheeler! This seems different to her previous novels not only because it’s YA obviously, but it also seems to have a mystery element to it.

It follows a girl called Chloe who’s running for valedictorian with her only real competition being prom queen Sara Wheeler. When a month before graduation Sara kisses Chloe and then vanishes, Chloe follows the clues to find her.

My favourite books of the year (so far!)

Helloo and welcome to my blog :)))giphy

I usually sit here and prattle for a paragraph or two but I’m getting straight to the point today because I actually wanna go curl up in bed and read.

Before that though I am going to be talking about my favourite books of the year so far.

In the completely crazy year that is 2020 I have so far read 48 books which is wayyyy more than I thought I’d read all year let alone only up to now and yet my favourites really weren’t hard to pick out.

Ninth House by Leigh Bardugo

ninthhouse

Ninth House was the first book that I completed this year and so because of that I keep forgetting I read it in 2020.

I feel like it’s hard to give an accurate description of this book but basically it follows Galaxy “Alex” Stern who has lived a hard life to the point that, by age twenty, she is the sole survivor of a horrific, unsolved multiple homicide. She is offered a full ride to Yale in exchange for monitoring the schools secrete society.

This book was something completely new to me. It was dark, daring, it made me uncomfortable so many times to the point I was reading through my fingers and yet I couldn’t put it down.

It’s also not for the faint of hearted as there are a lot of trigger warnings: addiction, abuse, assault, graphic details and descriptions of blood and injuries, to name but a few.

I believe the sequel is set for 2021 which is kind of sad because I was hoping it’d be released this year but also kinda of good because then I won’t feel bad going and re-reading this. Full Review Here.

I have no Jenn Bennett books left to read.

Last night at 2am I accomplished something amazing: I finished my last Jenn Bennett book. I have officially read all of her released YA contemporary novels!

Ok maybe this isn’t the most impressive thing in the world considering that’s actually only 4 books but I’m going to be dedicating a whole post to talking about it anyways because I can.

Starry Eyes

35297469Starry Eyes was the first Bennett book I ever read. This was free on Riveted one month and I started reading it because I had nothing better to do and thank God because not only has it introduced me to a favourite instant-buy author, but it opened me up to reading more romance heavy contemporaries in general.

This book follows Zorie who goes camping with friends and is surprised to find Lennon, the ex-best friend she’s been avoiding for months, there too.

Shit gets serious when they’re friends ditch them and Zorie and Lennon are left to hike home and camp alone. Continue reading “I have no Jenn Bennett books left to read.”

New to me authors 2019

Hi, hey, hello and welcome to my blog 🙂

Its officially 5 days to Christmas and I’m in panic mode because I haven’t gotten any presents besides for Secrete Santa. I’m a mess and a disasters.

Todays post is in no way Christmas related because I don’t need the stress, instead I’m going to be talking about a few new to me authors that I read this past year.

Jenn Bennett

I haven’t stopped raving about Jenn Bennet since I read her book Starry Eyes at the start of the year and for good reason. I thought her books, of which I’ve so far read 2 (Starry Eyes and Night Owl) were lots of fun and they made me enjoy and be more open to reading ya contemporary with romances, something I previously wasn’t totally crazy for.

On my shelf I have her other 2 contemporary releases (Alex Approximately and Serious Moonlight) which I hope to get to in 2020 and if I enjoy those I plan on picking up and trying her new historical fantasy novel. Continue reading “New to me authors 2019”

It’s my birthday and I got books! // Book Haul

Hi and hello and a very happy August!!!!

Before I get into this blog post I just want to give fair warning that I’m writing this at 1am because I’ve been playing Sims all night and I’m a busy bee tomorrow so this is what I’m left with. You’ve been warned.

So yesterday (today for me) was my birthday! Yay, a whole day of being tagged in ugly photos on Facebook by family members I haven’t spoken too in years. Woo.

I’m 17 now, a Dancing Queen according to the Gods AKA Abba. All jokes aside I had a great day eating birthday cake for breakfast, drinking beer around the pool (drink safely kids) and my dad lying to a bar owner we know and saying I’m 18 so I could get a beer. I’m forever one year older when we set foot into that bar now.

Also I got 8 books!!!!!!! Which is clearly the most important part and it’s what I’m about to start blabbing on about now 🙂

Instant Buy Authors

Hello and welcome to my blog 🙂

Today I’m going to be talking about a few of my Instant Buy Authors. I will be leaving out the more obvious ones like Rick Riordan and Cassandra Clare. I sold my soul to these two authors years ago and it doesn’t need to be mentioned again.

But joining the ranks of “people who own my soul” are:

1- Karen M. McManus

Jenn Bennett // Authors I Want to Read More Of.

Hello and welcome to my blog.

Today I’m going to be talking about an author I want to read more of: Jenn Bennett.

Jenn Bennett is an award winning Young Adult author whose books I’ve come to love this year. Her romances are so cute and I love how she includes different topics for example astronomy and anatomical art. (Is that what it’s called?)

What I’ve Read:
