LGBTQ books I am definitely reading this month // June TBR

Hellooo πŸ™‚ I’m tired today. I hosted an impromptu “party” last night and you’d think a couple of seventeen and eighteen year olds being left home alone with alcohol would have a rager but instead we stayed up till 2am playing Monopoly, hence the being tired todayπŸ˜‚

Anyways today I’m going to be talking about all the books I’m planning on reading in June. I read 10 books last month and I’m planning to keep that momentum going. June is pride month and so just like last year I really want to read a whole lot of books with LGBT+ characters and plots.

Opening Lines // Top 5 Tuesday

aaaa

Hellooo πŸ™‚ So lockdown was officially lifted here in Spain (for the most part) and as of yesterday my province is finally in phase 1 meaning bars and restaurants are aloud to open which is exciting. I am surrounded by bars where I live and so after two months of dead silence it’s super weird to hear so many people outside.

Anyways today I am back for another round of Top 5 Tuesday. I skipped last week because I was totally stumped. This weeks topic is Top 5 Opening Liners. I just spent the last ten minutes opening up all the books in my room so let’s get started.

Did I Read my Most Anticipated Reads of 2019?

Hi, hey, hello and welcome to my blog πŸ™‚

So today I thought we’d take a walk down memory lane and have a look to see if I read my Most Anticipated 2019 releases and my Intriguing Releases of 2019 which was a list of books I knew next to nothing about but the covers or a quick glance over the synopsis had me interested.

I’m looking forward to seeing what I thought and if I even still want to read some of them.

What I’m going to do after surviving my exams // December TBR

Hi, hey, hello and welcome to my blog πŸ™‚

Exams have started. Woohoo!!! They started this past Friday and lead all the way up until the 16th. The only thing getting me through is a litre bottle of Pepsi, my fear of failure and the promise of 2 weeks off.

And so because of this I am sat here, eating muesli while my cat screams at me and getting some blog posts written and scheduled.

Today I’m going to be talking about what exactly I plan to do once I am free!

Finish my currently reading:

I’ve been reading Tweet Cute for nearly a month now and I’m mad because this is really, really good. I’m having a great time but that’s the problem. I don’t have any time.

Call Down the Hawk is finally in my hands. It’s amazing, if not a little confusing at the beginning because of the new characters. I plan on getting straight to this when I get done with my last exam. Continue reading “What I’m going to do after surviving my exams // December TBR”

The End of the Year Book Tag 2019

Hi, hey, hello and welcome to my blog πŸ™‚

Today I’m doing the End of the Year Book tag. I’ve actually wanted to do this tag for a while now and Virginia @ The Sassy Library Fox actually tagged me! Thank you so much!

It really does feel like the last home stretch of the year now. It’s finally starting to get colder, mums talking about Christmas every chance she gets and my teachers are piling on exams and projects like there’s no tomorrow.

Talking about projects, I’ve got a history presentation on the textile industry I’ve been procrastinating so let’s get started πŸ™‚

🌻 Are there any books you started this year that you need to finish?🌻

Miraculously no. I finished Sorcery of Thorns the other week which took me a month to read and besides that any books I’ve put down this year I’ve put them down for good with no intentions of picking them back up again. Continue reading “The End of the Year Book Tag 2019”

It’s my birthday and I got books! // Book Haul

Hi and hello and a very happy August!!!!

Before I get into this blog post I just want to give fair warning that I’m writing this at 1am because I’ve been playing Sims all night and I’m a busy bee tomorrow so this is what I’m left with. You’ve been warned.

So yesterday (today for me) was my birthday! Yay, a whole day of being tagged in ugly photos on Facebook by family members I haven’t spoken too in years. Woo.

I’m 17 now, a Dancing Queen according to the Gods AKA Abba. All jokes aside I had a great day eating birthday cake for breakfast, drinking beer around the pool (drink safely kids) and my dad lying to a bar owner we know and saying I’m 18 so I could get a beer. I’m forever one year older when we set foot into that bar now.

Also I got 8 books!!!!!!! Which is clearly the most important part and it’s what I’m about to start blabbing on about now πŸ™‚

Bookish Wishlist to help me survive.

Hello and happy Tuesday!

Yesterday I started back at school for the third term of my last year as a high school student … and I immediately started freaking out.

With only 9 weeks left at school and 9 weeks to make sure I get the grades to graduate, anxiety and self doubt have taken a hold of my brain.

And so I figured bribing myself into staying motivated and not having a breakdown would be a good idea and so I’ve made a wishlist of a few books I’m hoping to buy myself at the end of June, hopefully as a graduation present to myself!

The Perfect Book Tag

large (1)

Hello and happy Friday!

Today I’m doing The Perfect Book Tag which was created by Sofii at A Book. A Thought and I was tagged by Lauren at Narrative Reads. So thank you so much!

The Perfect Genre

What genre would your perfect book be?

For this I’m going with Red, White & Royal Blue by Casey McQuiston. Romance isn’t my thing because I cringe at any sort of romantic moment but this book was a perfect romance/contemporary.

It was full of level headed characters, great representation, the two love interests had other things going on besides just the romance and the romance itself was so healthy and adorable!!!
