LGBTQ+ Books & Series I Love!

Hello!

It is pride month! And so in celebration I thought that today I would share a few of my personal favourite books and television shows featuring really great lgbtq+ representation.

I’ve chosen books with little to no angst because as much as I love the powerful reads I want to talk about books with gays living their best lives with minimal angst and reader trauma involved. Continue reading “LGBTQ+ Books & Series I Love!”

The Avengers Book Tag

large (1)

Hello and happy Monday!

This past weekend I went and watched Avengers Endgame, not once, but twice, and I don’t know whether my life is now complete or if there’s now a permanent hole in my soul. Maybe both?

Anyways I’m taking inspiration from Kristin from Kristin Kraves Books and I’m doing the Avengers Book Tag to celebrate the end of an era.

The Perfect Book Tag

Hello and happy Friday!

Today I’m doing The Perfect Book Tag which was created by Sofii at A Book. A Thought and I was tagged by Lauren at Narrative Reads. So thank you so much!

The Perfect Genre

What genre would your perfect book be?

For this I’m going with Red, White & Royal Blue by Casey McQuiston. Romance isn’t my thing because I cringe at any sort of romantic moment but this book was a perfect romance/contemporary.

It was full of level headed characters, great representation, the two love interests had other things going on besides just the romance and the romance itself was so healthy and adorable!!!

Hello and Happy Wednesday!

Today’s topic is favourite Science Fiction & Fantasy creatures.

All Weekly topics can be found HERE.

1-Beebo (Legends of Tomorrow)

LOT_3.18_beebo_vs_mallus

I love this show and I especially love Beebo. It’s just so fucking random that I can’t help it. I want a giant teddy bear of him.

2- Opal (The Raven Cycle)

A dream girl with goat legs and hooves who speaks Latin. Again, so random and weird and yet I cannot wait for more of her in the dreamer trilogy (which is out in less than 7 months!!) Continue reading “Favorite SFF Creatures // Top 5 Wednesday”

Rip it or Ship it Tag

Hello and Happy belated Valentines day!

Although it is just a manufactured holiday filled with cheap cards, chocolate and traumatic awkward moments I’m using it as the perfect excuse to play the Rip it or Ship it Book Tag.Β

I was going to write each book character out individually and be all cute and aesthetic but … it’s late and I’m lazy πŸ™‚ Instead I used a handy dandy website and I got the following couples: Continue reading “Rip it or Ship it Tag”

The Harry Potter Spells Book Tag

large (1)

Hello and welcome back to my blog πŸ™‚

Today I thought I’d do a book tag, my first of the year.

As you can telly by the title I am doing the Harry Potter Spells tag created by Kimberly Faye Reads.

tag

Back in late November/early December I accomplished the impossible and convinced my mum to read the Harry Potter series. She came to love it so much thatΒ  she made me and my brother watch the movie of whichever of the books she’d just finished.

This year I want to complete my reread of the series which I started last year by reading the final 4 books accept after watching all my faves die on screen, I’m not finding myself all that motivated to pick up the books and read about their deaths. I’m hoping this tag will bring out my inner potterhead.

Wrap Ups

December Wrap Up

bg5

I was just here, minding my own business, writing my favourite books of 2018 post, talking to Buddy the bearded dragon my brother got for Christmas and minding my own business when I realised it was the 30th of December!

When did this happen! How has the month gone by so fast!

I kid you not this wrap up is going to be a surprise for me too because this month was crazy with exams and I do not now what I did or did not read so … lets go!

πŸŽ…Christmas Book Haul!πŸŽ…

Christmas is about many things: family, being woken up at the ass crack of dawn by younger sibling, stuffing yourself with more food then you’ve eaten all year, and gifts and for any book lover that usually means books!

I was super lucky this year and the big fat man left a whole bunch of books I’m really looking forward to reading!

(Wow look at my terrible photography rearing it’s head once again!)

πŸŽ…πŸŽ„The Christmas Song Book TagπŸŽ„πŸŽ…

large (1)

In full disclosure, the past few years I have been kind of a Christmas scrooge. I don’t like the attention all being on me and also there’s so many phone calls. I love my family but talking to them all and arranging skype with my dad and siblings is stressful.

This year however, I was the first one to put Christmas songs on and I’ve been having a blast eating chocolate everyday (whoever invented advent calendars is a GOD) and counting down the days till exams are over and I can have three weeks to read freely. And so what better festive tag then the Christmas song tag.
