Christmas Readathon + December TBR

Hello! Happy Friday. I have never been more ready for a weekend in my life. I’m so tired. I nearly fell asleep eating my dinner earlier today.๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜ญ

The light at the end of the tunnel is in sight people. Just one week and 4(?) exams stand between me and Christmas break. Finally!!! My last exam is on the 14th and I have the rest of my planned from then on. Half of my time will, for sure, be spent sleeping, the rest will be spent doing things that will bring me the happiness and serotonin I desperately need right now lol.

Christmas Readathon ๐ŸŽ…๐ŸŽ„

I am 1 book away from having read 100 books this year. That is absolutely crazy to me. My goal for this year was 40! How did I do this??? I have no clue but I do know I want to read more then just one book this month and so I’ve decided that as soon as my exams are over I’m going to be taking part in Christmathon!

This is a month long Christmas themed readathon but I’m lowkey going to try and do it in a week. Will I achieve this? Probably not but I like the challenge. If you want more info about this you can check out the twitter page HERE ๐Ÿ™‚ There’s two teams/categories(???) to this readathon and I think I’m going to go with … Team Grinch

My Reading Rush 2020 T.B.R

Hi, hello and howdy :))

Last year I failed the Reading Rush. This year I’m planning on failing it again because 7 books in 7 days is not possible for me and my bad habits of procrastination and being easily distracted.

This time around I have 4 books on my TBR that I’m hoping to read but looking at it now I don’t know how many I’ll actually get around to.

My dad has been away working for near on ten weeks now and he’s finally coming home on Wednesday which is great, I’m excited to see him, but it means we’ve got lots of plans cause he’s only home ten days so reading won’t be my top priority. Continue reading “My Reading Rush 2020 T.B.R”

#StayHomeReadingRush Wrap Up

Hi, hey, hello and welcome to my blog!

stayhomeThe weekend happened. It went by fast but maybe that’s because I have no concept of time at this point. Fun.

Anyways the #StayHomeReadingRush happened this weekend too and I participated. It was a super last minute decision and I had homework to catch up on because even though I have nothing to do all day I’m still stuck in my procrastinating ways.

I had hoped to read three books this weekend and I finished two. I’m pretty happy with that. Sure it’s not the best but it was fun and I’m gonna wrap the weekend up and make it seem slightly more interesting then it actually was. Continue reading “#StayHomeReadingRush Wrap Up”

#StayHomeReadingRush TBR

Hi, hey, hello and welcome to my blog.

I have decided to take part in the #Stay Home Reading Rush which runs from today, 16th April till the 19th. I’ve seen this floating around and I really wasn’t going to take part in it so this is a very last minute decision.

My third term of school started back up this week. I said I was going to be productive this term, make good of a bad situation by using the home-school aspect to get really good grades. I’m barely a week in and I’ve already procrastinated all my assignments until the last possible second so I don’t know how well I’m going to do in this mini readathon but I’m going to give it a try.

Read a book with a house on the cover – Percy Jackson and the Lightning Thief by Rick Riordan.ย

I’m taking extreme liberties with this one. The Spanish edition of this book, the edition that I’m reading, has the New York skyline in the distant background … which has apartments โ€ฆ which I am classing as a house because I’ve already started it and want an excuse to finish it.

I mean I live in an apartment and I call it “my house” all the time so yes I’m cheating but it’s okay. Continue reading “#StayHomeReadingRush TBR”

My 1st Readathon Experience // Reading-Rush Wrap Up

Hi! Welcome to my blog!

RR-full-deeplilacThis past week it was the Reading Rush Readathon and as you can probably guess by the very spoilery title, it was my first time participating in a Readathon. I had a great time this past week trying to read as much as I could.

My TBR included 5 books however I didn’t get to all of them. In fact I went completely off the tracks and picked up a book that wasn’t even on my TBR. Overall I completed 2 novellas and 2 1/2 books. Continue reading “My 1st Readathon Experience // Reading-Rush Wrap Up”

My Reading Rush TBR (failure is imminent)

Hi, hey, hello, welcome to my blog and Happy Reading Rush Week!!!

I am late, very late, with this TBR, but it took me a while to decide if I was going to take part in the readathon and if I was going to share my TBR beforehand. But I figured why not. I’ve wanted to participate in a readathon for a while now, even including it on a recent post about nerd experiences, and I have literally nothing going on right now so it’s the perfect time.

The Reading Rush, previously known as Booktube-a-ton, runs from the 22nd (today) till the 28th of July. They also created a website this year to add each other, get badges and track your process. My profile is here if anyone wants to see how badly I’m probably failing ๐Ÿ™‚

  1. Read a book with purple on the cover
  2. Read a book in the same spot the entire time
  3. Read a book you meant to read last year
  4. Read an authorโ€™s first book
  5. Read a book with a non-human main character
  6. Pick a book that has five or more words in the title
  7. Read and watch a book to movie adaptation

I’m going to talk about what books I’m hoping to read this week and which challenges they correlate to. I’m not aiming to read 7 books but I do want to get to as many as possible.
