Cutest Romances // Top 5 Tuesday

aaaa

Ugh. It’s one of those days today. One of those days where I could quite happily stay in bed all day, not talking to anyone, not doing anything.

But alas school work calls and my teachers continue to haunt me through emails.

A bright spot in today though is that I’m going to be talking all about the Cutest Romances💕.

Top 5 Tuesday is hosted by Shanah @ Bionic Book Worm

Persephone & Hades (Lore Olympus by Rachel Smythe)

This web comic was all over my Goodreads last week and I was intrigued so I started reading and I love this so much. It’s a retelling of the Persephone and Hades where they’re still gods but it has a more modern twist to it.

Not only is the artwork so beautiful that each chapter I’m blown away but the plot is just as good. I’m not even up to these two being official yet but already the cuteness level is high and I can’t wait to read on.

If you’re interested in reading this you can read it on Here on WebToon Continue reading “Cutest Romances // Top 5 Tuesday”

I’m being overly ambitous // April TBR

Hi, hey, hello and welcome to my blog!

I’ve been umm-ing and ahh-ing about whether or not I want to make a TBR this month because I don’t know what to read! Actually no. That’s not the problem. This problem is that I have so much I want to read that I can’t decide what I want to read first.

My TBR is pretty long this month so I doubt I’ll be able to get all of them, although lockdown continues until the 26th at the very least so who knows. I’m only going to be talking about the physical books that I own in this TBR as well even though I do have a few arcs and e-books I’m thinking of reading.

Blog, book haul

I bought these ages ago // Book Haul

Hi, hey, hello and welcome to my blog!

Its time for a book haul baby! So I was stressed a couple of weeks ago (read: two months ago 😂)  and bought a bunch of books … and then my mum wanted to split the package cost for something so I bought some more, and I’m going to talk about them today.

I’m actually quiet glad I did go ahead and buy a bunch of books before everything kicked off, even if at the time I did feel guilty about adding to my physical TBR, because there’s a chance I’m on lockdown till April 12th so I’m going to need a lot of reading material.

February Wrap Up

Hi, hey hello and welcome to my blog!

February is over. We’ve survived somehow. Well done to us is all I can say. Today I’m going to be wrapping up and talking all about the books I read in February.

I have absolutely nothing of import or interest to say because it’s nearly midnight and I am hungry so I’m just going to jump right on with my wrap up 🙂

Scammed by Kristen Simmons

9781250175830

The first thing I completed this month was an ARC which I’m thrilled about because I’m trying to read at least one ARC a month. Scammed is the sequel to last years The Decievers which I enjoyed however I liked book 2 a lot more.

I was wary going into this because I couldn’t remember much from the previous novel however the first few chapters of this book did a great job at catching me up to speed, jogging my memory and then wasted no time in getting straight into the action which I thought was missing from the first book.

This series follows a girl who attends a super elite boarding school for con artists and in exchange for this opportunity and future college tuition and overall life success Brynn has to put her conning skills to the work for the owner/funder/headmaster? of the school but of course, she get’s into a more then she ever thought she could handle.

❄Top 5 Books I Read This Winter❄

Hi, hey, hello and welcome to my blog!

Spring is officially in session and honestly it’s annoying me already. My allergies are flaring up but it’s also still flu and cold season so what pills do I take!?

Anyways moving on from my stinging eyes and sneezing fits today I’m going to be talking about the best books I read this past winter. I feel like I’ve had a solid three months in terms of reading but my favourite’s really weren’t hard to pick.

Call Down the Hawk by Maggie Stiefvater

9781407194462

It took me forever to get my hands on this book: 2 years of wait and anticipation for the release, a month for Amazon to send it to me and then when I finally started reading it I got hit with nearly 3 weeks of exams and school work but god was it worth the wait.

It took me a second (aka 100+ pages) to warm up to the new characters but by the end of it I would die for Jordan Hennessy and, strangely enough, Declan Lynch. Can you believe it!

This book was as whimsical, magical and down right weird as I was expecting but also so much more and I cannot wait for the sequel. Continue reading “❄Top 5 Books I Read This Winter❄”

Short month, big TBR // February TBR

Hi, hey, hello and welcome to myblog 🙂

I’ve had the same on and off headache for nearly four days now and I’ve watched too many medical dramas meaning now I’m thinking my heads going to explode or something. Fun.

Besides that though I’m going to be talking about what books I want to read this month.

I can’t decide how my reading is going to go this month. I have exams coming up and I need to keep my grades up but I also have a week off towards the end of the month and the house to myself as my mum and brother are going to England so maybe I’ll be able to read a bunch.

Beating the big books // January TBR

hellop

Hi, hey, hello and welcome to my blog 🙂

It’s time to set in stone a list of books I promise to read this month … and then inevitably don’t. Just kidding.

So today I’m talking about my January TBR and I wasn’t originally planning on having a TBR this month but I have a list worked out in my head that I’m pretty happy with so why not share it.

I don’t like big books and I cannot lie

I finished Ninth House by Leigh Bardugo the other week and was infused with the sense of “yeah, I can read big adult books” and so although that feeling is fading as th days pass I’m sticking to it and I’ve got two previously intimidating books here on this TBR.
