I have no Jenn Bennett books left to read.

Last night at 2am I accomplished something amazing: I finished my last Jenn Bennett book. I have officially read all of her released YA contemporary novels!

Ok maybe this isn’t the most impressive thing in the world considering that’s actually only 4 books but I’m going to be dedicating a whole post to talking about it anyways because I can.

Starry Eyes

35297469Starry Eyes was the first Bennett book I ever read. This was free on Riveted one month and I started reading it because I had nothing better to do and thank God because not only has it introduced me to a favourite instant-buy author, but it opened me up to reading more romance heavy contemporaries in general.

This book follows Zorie who goes camping with friends and is surprised to find Lennon, the ex-best friend she’s been avoiding for months, there too.

Shit gets serious when they’re friends ditch them and Zorie and Lennon are left to hike home and camp alone. Continue reading “I have no Jenn Bennett books left to read.”

April Wrap Up

Helloooo 🙂

I don’t know how but it’s that time again where I talk all about the books I read this month. I had a pretty lofty TBR for April and I read approximately two of those books.

My reading was pretty all over the place this month and in terms of quantity but sadly it was pretty “meh” in terms of quality. Because of how random the books are I’ve split them into groups to try and bring some order to this wrap up.

The “meh” books.

The first book I read this month was Serious Moonlight by Jenn Bennett and it was disappointing. I did a whole review for it but in short: I love Jenn Bennett but I didn’t love this book. It liked the representation: a hard of hearing boy with Japanese heritage and a girl with narcolepsy, but I didn’t care much about the romance. There wasn’t much chemistry between the characters, Birdie and Daniel, at least compared to other Bennett books, and they felt kind of cringey at times.

I was in the mood for some cheesy “oh my god I have superpowers” and “oh my god I’m the most powerful witch to ever exist” read and so I read The Lost Witch by Chandelle LaVaun. . I was hoping for a guilty pleasure read but I basically skim read this. It just wasn’t what I wanted and I barely remember anything that happened (besides lots of characters with very modern American names). Continue reading “April Wrap Up”

Spring Has Sprung … and so have my allergies // Book Tag

Hi, hey, hello and welcome to my blog!

Today I am doing the Spring has Sprung book tag because even though it hasn’t stopped raining in the last two weeks spring has indeed sprung.

Like almost everyone else I’m not aloud to leave my house right now so the allergies are being kept at bay but it’s only a matter of time before the three months of constant sneezing and watering eyes begin. Yay.

Flowers – All the flowers we remember are blooming again. Pick a book that’s a fresh take on a retelling.

I haven’t read many retellings but I do have a fair few on my TBR including Geekerella by Ashley Poston which I may or may not have bought the e-book of the other night. I don’t know much about this but I know it’s a Cinderella retelling with fandom themes which for a huge nerd like me seems like a fun time. I also know it features a food truck called the Magic Pumpkin which sounds cute!

Cadbury Mini Eggs- Obviously the superior springtime chocolate of choice. Pick a book that you consider to be a sweet treat.

First of all: big fat yesss to Mini Eggs being the best!!!

Less a book more of an author but I really love Jenn Bennetts contemporary novels. They’re such easy reads, the main characters all have something unique about them and even with all the cutness and fluffiness there’s more things at play. I’m currently readin Seriously Moonlight and loving it! Continue reading “Spring Has Sprung … and so have my allergies // Book Tag”

It’s my birthday and I got books! // Book Haul

Hi and hello and a very happy August!!!!

Before I get into this blog post I just want to give fair warning that I’m writing this at 1am because I’ve been playing Sims all night and I’m a busy bee tomorrow so this is what I’m left with. You’ve been warned.

So yesterday (today for me) was my birthday! Yay, a whole day of being tagged in ugly photos on Facebook by family members I haven’t spoken too in years. Woo.

I’m 17 now, a Dancing Queen according to the Gods AKA Abba. All jokes aside I had a great day eating birthday cake for breakfast, drinking beer around the pool (drink safely kids) and my dad lying to a bar owner we know and saying I’m 18 so I could get a beer. I’m forever one year older when we set foot into that bar now.

Also I got 8 books!!!!!!! Which is clearly the most important part and it’s what I’m about to start blabbing on about now 🙂

Jenn Bennett // Authors I Want to Read More Of.

Hello and welcome to my blog.

Today I’m going to be talking about an author I want to read more of: Jenn Bennett.

Jenn Bennett is an award winning Young Adult author whose books I’ve come to love this year. Her romances are so cute and I love how she includes different topics for example astronomy and anatomical art. (Is that what it’s called?)

What I’ve Read:
