Mini Review: The Guinevere Deception by Kiersten White

Publication Date: November 5th 2019

Series: Camelot Rising #1

There was nothing in the world as magical and terrifying as a girl.

Princess Guinevere has come to Camelot to wed a stranger: the charismatic King Arthur. With magic clawing at the kingdom’s borders, the great wizard Merlin conjured a solution–send in Guinevere to be Arthur’s wife . . . and his protector from those who want to see the young king’s idyllic city fail. The catch? Guinevere’s real name–and her true identity–is a secret. She is a changeling, a girl who has given up everything to protect Camelot.

To keep Arthur safe, Guinevere must navigate a court in which the old–including Arthur’s own family–demand things continue as they have been, and the new–those drawn by the dream of Camelot–fight for a better way to live. And always, in the green hearts of forests and the black depths of lakes, magic lies in wait to reclaim the land. Arthur’s knights believe they are strong enough to face any threat, but Guinevere knows it will take more than swords to keep Camelot free. Read More.

I bought these ages ago // Book Haul

Hi, hey, hello and welcome to my blog!

Its time for a book haul baby! So I was stressed a couple of weeks ago (read: two months ago 😂)  and bought a bunch of books … and then my mum wanted to split the package cost for something so I bought some more, and I’m going to talk about them today.

I’m actually quiet glad I did go ahead and buy a bunch of books before everything kicked off, even if at the time I did feel guilty about adding to my physical TBR, because there’s a chance I’m on lockdown till April 12th so I’m going to need a lot of reading material.

2019 Releases I Didn’t Get To // Top 5 Tuesday

aaaa

Hi, hey, hello and happy Tuesday!!!

Today’s Top 5 Tuesday topic is Top 5 Books You Didn’t Get to in 2019. I’m actually really happy with everything I’ve read this year, there’s no backlist books or anything like that that I’m dying to read or disappointed I didn’t get to.

And so I’m going to be talking exclusively about 2019 releases I didn’t get to in 2019 but that I do still want to read. Some of these I’ve talked about at length, others are more recent discoveries that I’ve realised I want to read.

As of 2am last night I have officially completed my Goodreads 2019 Reading Challenge!!! There was digital confetti and everything. It was a magical moment.

I set my goal for the year at 60 books and I have no idea how I’ve already read that many but I am thrilled because school starts soon and I have a feeling it’s gonna be crazy and reading’s gonna have to take the backseat for a while.
