Top 5 books to read this summerโ˜€ // Top 5 Tuesday

aaaa

Hello and happy Tuesday ๐Ÿ™‚ So I’m running on three hours sleep right now so I apologise in advance. Saying that though I did survive a kind of important exam earlier this morning so I’m sure this will be a walk in the park in comparison with that.

Today’s Top 5 Tuesday topic is top 5 books to read this summer. I can’t believe its summer already. God this year is so dodgy but here’s what I’m recommending to read while we’re all sunbathing in face masks ๐Ÿ™‚

Anticipated 2020 Sequels! // Top 5 Tuesday

aaaa

Hi, hey, hello and happy Tuesday!

I have a cold but I’m about to talk about upcoming sequels coming out this year that I am absolutely dying to read and would probably sell my firstborn child if I could get my hands on these sooner.

Todays Top 5 Tuesday topic is technically Anticipated Releases of 2020 but I’m doing tri-monthly versions of them so I don’t want to milk the new releases cow and so I’m talking specifically about sequels of books I’ve already read and am dying to read.

Call Down the Hawk by Maggie Stiefvater #2

I spoiled myself with The Raven Cycle because when I began reading that series all of the books had already been released. I suppose being part of the fandom and getting excited with everyone else over titles and cover releases could be fun but still I need this book in my hands now!

My favourite reads of 2019!

Hi, hey, hello and welcome to my blog ๐Ÿ™‚

So yesterday I talked all about my least favourite reads of 2019(which I stupidly titled 2020 and only just realised my mistake because I’m an idiot) and I really went to town on them. Today however is a positive vibes only zone as I’m going to be talking about the best of the bunch. giphy

I read 83 books this year, completely surpassing my intended goal of 60. I’m actually currently reading 2 more, one of which I plan on finishing as soon as I’m done writing this post, and yet I’ve got 9 books to talk about today.

My criteria for picking my “favourites” is based solely off of pure enjoyment. I’ve chosen books which, even all these months later, I’m still thinking about, I’m still excited about and overall I’m’ still in love with.

Any and all book reviews I’ve written this year can all be found HERE.

And finally before I start I just want to say that these are in chronological of when I read them and not by rank or rating or anything like that ๐Ÿ™‚

black-and-white-flowers-tumblr-transparent-12Queen of Air & Darkness by Cassandra Clare

9781471116704Queen of Air & Darkness was the second book I read this year and although it’s an absolute beast of a book I flew through it in just 3 days!

Yes some of the plot decisions were โ€ฆ odd and questionable *cough* Thule. Angelic Giants *cough* but I can’t deny that I had a great time reading.

This book made me feel so much. I sobbed in the beginning for about five chapters straight and that was just the beginning of my tears as the story progressed. I came to love so many new characters with this trilogy and I’m cautiously anticipating future instalments of this universe. Continue reading “My favourite reads of 2019!”

Did I Read my Most Anticipated Reads of 2019?

Hi, hey, hello and welcome to my blog ๐Ÿ™‚

So today I thought we’d take a walk down memory lane and have a look to see if I read my Most Anticipated 2019 releases and my Intriguing Releases of 2019 which was a list of books I knew next to nothing about but the covers or a quick glance over the synopsis had me interested.

I’m looking forward to seeing what I thought and if I even still want to read some of them.

โ˜€Top 5 Books I Read this Summerโ˜€

Hi, hey, hello and welcome to my blog ๐Ÿ™‚

Guess who just got back from the dentist and was stupid enough to not eat beforehand and so is now starving!!!! ME :))) Yep.

And so to distract myself from my hunger I thought I’d talk about My Favourite Books I Read This Summer!

Summer has never before been my favourite season, for the most part because I’m as pale as a vampire (to the point where my old citizenship teacher asked if I was a ghost) so the burning hot ball in the sky and I don’t get on all that much.

However I’ve actually had a great time this past summer and in the past three months, June, July and August, I’ve read some really great books.

1- Not Even Bones by Rebecca Schaeffer

I was still in school when I read this and the boy who sits next to me, the only other English boy who could possibly understand what I was reading, kept looking over at the worst time. Usually when limbs were being dismembered. He was very worried about me. Continue reading “โ˜€Top 5 Books I Read this Summerโ˜€”

And so I figured that to take my mind off of it I would finaly getting around to doing The BW Mid Year Tag which I was tagged to do byย ย Virginia @ The Sassy Library Fox so big thanks to Virginia ๐Ÿ™‚

As of 2am last night I have officially completed my Goodreads 2019 Reading Challenge!!! There was digital confetti and everything. It was a magical moment.

I set my goal for the year at 60 books and I have no idea how I’ve already read that many but I am thrilled because school starts soon and I have a feeling it’s gonna be crazy and reading’s gonna have to take the backseat for a while.

My 1st Readathon Experience // Reading-Rush Wrap Up

Hi! Welcome to my blog!

RR-full-deeplilacThis past week it was the Reading Rush Readathon and as you can probably guess by the very spoilery title, it was my first time participating in a Readathon. I had a great time this past week trying to read as much as I could.

My TBR included 5 books however I didn’t get to all of them. In fact I went completely off the tracks and picked up a book that wasn’t even on my TBR. Overall I completed 2 novellas and 2 1/2 books. Continue reading “My 1st Readathon Experience // Reading-Rush Wrap Up”

The “I graduated high school” Book Haul!

Hello and happy whatever day of the week it is! (Its summer, I have no idea what day it is. I’m in constant limbo and it’s great).

Today I’m sharing my newest batch of books that I got. As the title might suggest I bought myself these books as a “well done for only having 1 mental breakdown this past school year and managing to graduate on time” gift to myself and I’m very excited with the five books that I bought!

Mid Year Book Freak-Out Tag!

Hello and welcome to my blog!

So far this year my reading is going really well. I’ve somehow managed to read 47 books this year while also keeping up with school work. I’m very proud of this.

Absolutely everybody has been doing the Mid Year Book Freak Out Tag recently and of course I’m jumping on that bandwagon too. This tag looks really fun and I’m excited to look back at what I’ve read.

๐ŸŒŸBest Book You’ve Read So Far In 2019๐ŸŒŸ

untitled

I genuinely did try to pick something different for this question but this really has been the best book I’ve read so far this year. It was funny yet also emotional with a nice amount of political commentary that I enjoyed. I’ve had to stop myself from re-reading this multiple times. It definitely deserves the hype. My Review.ย

๐ŸŒŸBest Sequel You’ve Read So Far in 2019 ๐ŸŒŸ

untitled

To be honest I’ve barely read any sequels this year. I really need to get on that. But definitely out of the few that I’ve read my favourite was Crooked Kingdom. I’m annoyed it took me so long to read this series and I’m dying for new content from these characters. My Review Continue reading “Mid Year Book Freak-Out Tag!”
