Hello and happy Tuesday 🙂 So I’m running on three hours sleep right now so I apologise in advance. Saying that though I did survive a kind of important exam earlier this morning so I’m sure this will be a walk in the park in comparison with that.

Today’s Top 5 Tuesday topic is top 5 books to read this summer. I can’t believe its summer already. God this year is so dodgy but here’s what I’m recommending to read while we’re all sunbathing in face masks 🙂

Hellooo 🙂 So lockdown was officially lifted here in Spain (for the most part) and as of yesterday my province is finally in phase 1 meaning bars and restaurants are aloud to open which is exciting. I am surrounded by bars where I live and so after two months of dead silence it’s super weird to hear so many people outside.

Anyways today I am back for another round of Top 5 Tuesday. I skipped last week because I was totally stumped. This weeks topic is Top 5 Opening Liners. I just spent the last ten minutes opening up all the books in my room so let’s get started.

Ugh. It’s one of those days today. One of those days where I could quite happily stay in bed all day, not talking to anyone, not doing anything.

But alas school work calls and my teachers continue to haunt me through emails.

Persephone & Hades (Lore Olympus by Rachel Smythe)

This web comic was all over my Goodreads last week and I was intrigued so I started reading and I love this so much. It’s a retelling of the Persephone and Hades where they’re still gods but it has a more modern twist to it.

Not only is the artwork so beautiful that each chapter I’m blown away but the plot is just as good. I’m not even up to these two being official yet but already the cuteness level is high and I can’t wait to read on.

I’m stressed right now and it’s all my tutor/lengua teachers fault. Its not the homework or worring about grades it the fact that the dude keeps posting updates on our Classroom IN ALL CAPS!!!! Literally a paragraph screaming at us about something so mundane.I feel like commenting “calm down my dude” expect I would never do that because I’m socially inept and have spoken like … 3 words to the guy in 2 years of having him as a teacher. 

Anyways. Now that I’ve got that mini rant out of my system I’m going to talk about something calming: books!

Todays Top 5 Tuesday topic is all about Series I Want to Start and I’ve got to admit I found this pretty hard. I’m trying not to start too many series because there’s so many others I actually need to finish.

I have been dying to get my eyeballs on this book for what feels like forever and I am so excited because literally this past weekend I got myself the e-book of this!!!

Popular Boks I haven’t Read Yet // Top 5 Tuesday

Hi, hey, hello and happy Tuesday.

Absolutely nothing has happened recently besides: I ate crumpets, finished season 3 of Brooklynn 99, walked my dogs in my pyjamas because apparently I’m that person now and I started reading Midnight Sun, the unreleased Twilight book from Edwards perspective and it’s hilarious. Possible blog post about that coming in the near distant future.

Anyways I’m just going to jump straight in to todays post which is all about Popular Books I haven’t Read Yet.

I feel like I’m pretty caught up on the popular YA books everyone raves about. I’ve read Fangirl and Victoria Schwab and Adam Silvera and a whole bunch of other popular books and authors but I’ve still got 5 to talk about here.

1- Sadie by Courtney Summers

A whole lot of people rave about this book and the audiobook which is told like a podcast following the disappearance of Sadie. Or her sister. I cant quiet remember who exactly is missing but this is meant to be a super hard hitting book. I’ve actually tried to read this book already but I wasn’t in the mood for it. I do totally plan on picking it up again eventually though.

Today’s Top 5 Tuesday topic is: Books that made me laugh and I have a disclaimer before getting into the list: I have a terrible memory so these may not be as funny as I remember, I also have a terrible sense of humour. I blame my dad for this. We have a running joke about chickens wearing flipflops so … Be Warned.

Again But Better by Christine Riccio

This book wasn’t funny on purpose but it was funny none the less from the name of the love interest: Pilot Penn, to the terrible metaphors you can’t help but laugh at. The fun of the book doesn’t end with the last page either because the reviews for this because are just as entertaining.

The Percy Jackson Series by Rick Riordan

I’ve not re-read these in a while and it’s something I’ve really been wanting to do recently. My problem however is that I let someone borrow the first book years ago and I never got it back so now I’m 1 book down. I’m genuinely considering just starting from book 2 because these books are so funny even if they are geared at a younger audience they always make me laugh.

Things I’m enjoying about lockdown // Top 5 Tuesday

Hello and happy Tuesday 🙂

I’m going to be real with you, I barely know what day it is anymore. Time is becoming meaningless and I barely know what’s going on anymore.

I live in Spain and over here we’ve been on lockdown since I think around the middle of March and it was meant to last two weeks, fast forward to now and the lockdown has been extended until the 26th of April.😂

I feel like I’m handling it well. I’m keeping myself entertained, my anxiety has miraculously been kept at bay and there haven’t been many arguments. My years of living an introverted life are coming in handy.

Today’s Top 5 Tuesday topic is continuing to look on the bright side and talk about what we’re enjoying about lockdown.

Unlimited Reading Time

I was expecting to barely read anything in March because I should have been drowning in exams and anxiety. Instead I read 9 books because exams got cancelled and I became incredibly motivated to read everything and anything.

Hi, hey, hello and happy Tuesday!

So today we’re back for another round of Authors A-Z 🙂 But first … Lockdown Update. Feel free to skip to the good bits but I think it would be pretty cool to have this documented because everything that’s going on right now is crazy.

• Today is day 2 or day 3 of lockdown? I don’t actually know when it officially began but no family arguments have kicked off yet.
• Online classes are … great? Yesterday morning I woke up at 8. Stayed in bed to check my french class at 8:30. Showered super chill before doing my Latin homework for that day then did Latin & Greek class over WhatsApp for 2 hours. Fun.
• I’m sending TikToks to anyone and everyone. I may be addicted.
• I finished an ARC and I’m watching the last episode of Elite season 2 as I type.
• We played Monopoly. I won. Nobody cried. A miracle!
• And a super sweet thing everyone is doing is at 8pm we all go out on our balconies and give a huge, well deserved round of applause to the medical personal.

But anyways, moving on from that. Let’s jump into authors K-O

Hi, hey, hello and happy Tuesday!

I have drank a whole energy drink in hopes to motivate myself to sort my life out and do my homework and study for the mountain of exams I have coming up in the next three weeks. My body feels really awake …. my eyes do not.

On the plus I am typing really, really fast right now.

Anyways todays Top 5 Tuesday is a continuation of last weeks. Throughout the month of March, as I’m sure you may know, we’re going through the alphabet and talking all about authors.

Last week I said I was going off an authors first name and that was the plan for the whole month but then that changed today when I realised I would have nobody for more or less half this list.
